  • Nice work! I hope that I could create animation half as good as you. How long have you been in the field of animation?

  • I like how in your animations the objects the characters are working with look as if they have weight. nothing here looks like its floating; such as when the man picks up that bowl. it looked heavy

  • Hi I just saw your movie I do not understand! the first animation c the same as mine, seeing I would like to know if you renewed your link? or the date of 2008 well thank you

  • i Love you´r hand draw animations ^^

  • that is really good :D

  • How you say leave a comment and you don't even comment back? :(

  • @BlueGiraffeAnimation

oops, really sorry. Lifes just got busy. I'll try my best to get back to comments sooner.

    Thanks for the reminder !

  • Some of the scenes from your video look like some extracts from the animator survival kit of richard williams! Did you use some of his tricks to do your animation!

    Great job however! :)

  • @SpaceLion34

Right on! I always read the Animator's Survival Kit and some of the exercises like the walk and such have been directly influenced by that.

  • This is very good! The characters move very smoothly, and overall, this looks very professional. Great job!

  • @TstudiosGandA

    thanks !

  • good work chaitanya...i like the characters. @irvin390 you can use adobe flash, toon boom etc.. for the digital version of your animations as far as i know

  • what computer program do you use in order to make the drawings look like an animation?

  • I don't know which one the artist used here, but there are a bunch available. One of the most popular is DigiCel Flipbook, I think you can download a free trial (just Google it).

  • @nakedzombieforce

I used Toom Boom Studio to put together drawings in video. All drawings were hand-drawn. But yeah, you can use a Wacom Tablet and software like Pencil or DigiCel FlipBook to do it entirely on the computer.

  • just toooo awesome yaar..this is sooooo damn difficult yaar!!1..i really wana get this good!!..

    Thanks !

  • wow that was great. im not nearly as good as you!

  • @MelaniePink101

thanks! practice and your work could be much better than mine :)

  • great work , i like animation with pencil the most but do u got a job with this or what do u do ?

  • @murad25soso

Thanks man. I did not use this to get a job, but just as a learning step before studying character animation in 3d. After that I had a new demo reel which got me my job. But I would definitely recommend anyone to learn a bit of 2d animation before learning computer animation.

  • the bird and candle were awesome man. id be so proud of that bird and its detail. the guy shooting an arrow also stuck out.

  • @daletronzero Thanks !

  • I love the simplicity of ur animation characters. I actually preferred the ball and stick people over the complex sketch people.

  • Thanks, the "ball and stick people" are influenced by Disney animation. I tried to try and get that feel in them.

  • Well, good job. i'm a beginner animator too but not half as good as you, so I was wondering if you could check out my videos and tell me what u think?

  • hey man .... ur work is so kewl ....

m doin graduation in animation ....

so wanna ask u .. do u know any website where all guidence available related objects drawing ?

how we draw human posses with shape ...

    thank u

    regards

    waleed.

  • Do you mean you want to understand how to draw humans using basic shapes for construction?

You can read more about it in these books -

"How to Draw Comics the Marvel Way"

"Drawn to Life by Walt Stanchfield"

  • yes exactly ...

i find little difficulty while drawing any thiing with objects =s

  • what software do you use?

  • the animation in this video is hand-drawn, I used ToonBoom for making videos form the scans.

  • Awesome Stuff! Your animations flow very smoothy and have a really good sense of weight! I liked the ones with the person lifting the bowl and the one where its sawing the wood the most!

  • Thanks :) Check back soon, I'll upload more CG animation tests.

  • Talent good job

    bright future awaits you.

then we can see your cartoons in the TV :P

  • Appreciate that positivity !

  • i honestly wasnt expecting the end of the first animation, it was so fuckng funny, even the second time round. NICE ONE!

  • Thanks ! glad you had fun watching it !!

  • hey u r from which institute ????????

  • I went to this institute in my city, but dint get enough help in understanding animation. Still I got to use Animation discs and a line test camera :D

  • ehh... its ok

  • I know .. I was just getting used to working with the animation disc. Learnt a lot in the last 15 months since I joined animation mentor.

I can see why it looks "ok" :)

  • incredible!!!!

  • Yo ! :)

  • Well done indeed! Full marks :)

  • thanks for that score :)

  • The movement is pretty good...... this is an awesome JoB!!!

  • Thanks !!

  • cool

  • Thanks everyone !

I am now studying character animation at AM. You can watch my new work on my blog, mentioned in the video info.

  • AM?

  • Not bad.

But I feel as though you are too worried about the finished drawing rather than the feel of it.

It all feels evenly spaced. Add some eases and drag to your animation. The weight lift needs to feel heavier. Add some stagger and really push it.

Don't be afraid to give it squash and stretch. I'd say take just a few of your stronger ones and really push them. Work on them over and over until it feels stronger :)

  • Thanks for the feedback. You said it right, a year back when I did them I was too concerned about the finished look of the drawing, putting in less time on the actual flow of animation.

Since starting studying at AnimationMentor, I have made a lot of progress and now I can see what all wasnt working.

  • Great stuff, were those sketches drawn from scratch?

  • Thanks ! Yep, all are hand drawn sketches. All animation started from scratch.

  • gud work. i agree wid 'linoofaction' though.

  • This is all really good stuff :D

One thing I think you could do to improve your animation is to use more follow through action in some of the scenes. For example when your characters are doing certain actions they go through a key pose and then come to a dead stop, whereas it might be more natural if they shift slowly into a more relaxed pose. Other than that I think you've displayed the traditional principles really well :)

  • Thanks for the comment, I dint understand it well back then, Now after one year of intensive animation, I get what was going wrong in there :)

  • This is great!

Nice drawings and really cool animations.

I like that it's 100% hand drawn too, there isn't much of that anymore.

    Love it! =)

  • This is awesome work! :D

  • Amazing!
