  • that is silly a bubble caprice has a good 800 pounds on that nova. that nova has a bigger engine then. because i know hella people that run 10 and 9 in bubble. i have a 1991 caprice 9c1 that would smoke that.

  • The standard caprice motor in 91 was the LO3 (305ci with 170bhp).The 9C1(police spec) option brought a choice of the LO5 (350ci 180/190bhp) and 3.42 rear end.

  • lt1' with reverse cooling flow suck that is the worst high p[erformance small block made there is nothing special about it just a 5.7 with light castings smog dog heads and comp ratio no wonder the shit box nova with a 307 and better heads kicked its ass

    Reverse cooling is good it cools the heads first then the motor.

  • yea i'm a monte carlo fan but even I know that Nova's used to be the badass's of the street/strip. I think because chevelles cost more so the Nova's fell into the hands of real Rodder's.

  • what everyone is neglecting is that the 91-93 caprices primarily came with under powered 305 motors. they made some decent torque but leave much to be desired on the hp end. I'm not surprised that the caprice lost to the nove. the nova is lighter and probably had a bigger motor. the race would have been different if it was a 94-96 caprice/impala with an LT1 motor in it. same car but a whole different drivetrain. more power/torque that rev's up quicker. besides, they were just having fun, sheesh!

  • the lt1's never came in a caprice before 1994. i love how you people quote so many facts but have no proof to support them. the lt1 came in the camaro's in 93 until 97 then switched to ls1 motors in 98. the corvettes have lt1's in the early 90's and prior to that they had the tuned port 350 motor in it. get ya facts straight before you step to someone who actually deals with and knows about these cars. just cause daddy taught you how to change the oil doesn't make you a mechanic or a master tech

  • The 73 Nova is Ok i looks a hell of alot better than some of the shit that came out in thoughs years. Although a 1973 Challanger still looked really nice and a the Dart looked the same from 1971-1976 and they look cool.

  • 350, edelbrock manifold & carb, ceramic coated headers, flowmasters w/ 2.5" piping. By 1973, V8s had low compression though.
