Re DVD release: I am guessing there is either a copyright reason from the releasing studio or a technical reason (highly unlikely ) as there is very little that is not possible and besides all the other westerns are now all on DVD; either way it's a shame because this was one of the very best Western series and it did did not run long enough. The story lines were good and the characters strong, . modern audiences would enjoy it and the young girls could all fall in love again with James.
I loved this show! I admit I was hooked on James stacy right off and always liked watching whatever show in which Andrew Duggan was starring. It would be great to be able to watch it/own it on DVD.
no other western can hold as good as lancer. this programme was the best. i was hoodked from the moment it started and still love it. same we cant get the dvds. james is sure is handsome and still is
As of this date "Lancer" is not available on an official DVD release. You might search for an "unofficial" release but be careful, some of those online companies are frauds.
It is sadly ironic when James Stacy mutters the line about arms and legs considering what happened to him on the motorcycleand on the brink of superstardom.....This snippet hooked me right off...Is Lancer available on DVD anywhere?
I read that Andrew Duggan was dissatisfied with his role as Murdoch Lancer because the role did not have depth. It is quite clear that Stacy got all the good roles and dialogue in this series.
probabilmente è da queste splendide inquadrature che anni fa ho iniziato ad amarli e da allora li ho sempre seguiti ma gia da un po di anni qua in italia non se ne sa più nulla..............
This has got to be one of my most favorite scenes, they all play it so well, even 35 years later it isn't outdated, and i don't think it could be better:)

A great show. Wish it could be purchased on DVD. Oh well - I actually named my only son Scott Lancer. Thanks for posting the clips. It is great fun!

No doubt about it, writers during this era were some of the best. The best of the best.

You're right, it's a great scene. To think the other western's at the time were more popular than Lancer. Obviously can't see what I see :)
