@NicoPetrucciMusicMan After you posted the comment, I clicked your username to look at your channel and found your name there. I think it's more meaningful when you thank someone using their name. :D
And BTW, I posted the above comment under my other account my accident, DtRockstar1 is also me. My bad!
Damn. Great job! Best cover of that solo I've seen. Kudos to you man! I'll upload some DT songs soon (on bass). I've uploaded some, but they're not that good XD.
this is a musicman sterling jp50 !! man i wnna quest bout this guitar , is that guitar got floyd rose ? and is this guitar's bridge is enough ? and aaa how much way you can use the tremolo ?
@airbenderNoair This guitar doesn't have a Floyd Rose Tremelo, it's just Music Man's own tremelo. It doesn't have locking nuts, and it stays in tune very well. I don't know if you could use the whammy bar quite as much as a Floyd Rose, but it still stays in tune very well.
is Floyd rose system effects on tremolo ? if it effects How? .hows the different of jp50's tremolo using ... Thanks for this questions .... and 1 quest to ... original John petrucci musicman jp5 or jp6 ... in this guitars Which system are there? .... thank again,im trying to create a symphonic rock band .. im looking for cheap and solo guitars. thank !
Hey man, great job! Your take is definitely better than mine, but I would still like to respond with my video for networking purposes. Please accept my friend request and video response! Thanks, and keep up the good work!
Well, I actually cheated on the last lick, the one right before the high pitched squeal, haha. It seems that no matter how much I practice, I just can't pick long runs that fast. My right hand tightens up.
Ah, that sweep! John Petrucci actually has a lesson where he shows how to play the whole solo and it's on youtube. I don't have my gear with me now, it's stored away for the week so I won't be able to demonstrate it now, unfortunately.
there are too many guitarrist in youtube who their solos are just a bad copy whithout vibratogood ,tempo,etc..........YOU'RE REALLY GREAT PLAYER!! I WOULD LIKE TO PLAY IN A BAND WITH YOU BUT I REALLY LIVE FAR AWAY (forgive my english, congratulations!!!!)
Amazing job, in that the solo sounds like the original, because all techniques are well mastered (picking, sweeping, bending - in tune, that's rare ;)...
But you're cheating from time to time, you bad boy ;o) It's a pity you made a pick slide at the end instead of the full scale down. But amazing still ;o)
That's funny, the person right before you said the same thing. It might be because of the motion blur. But hey, like you said, as long as it works! :-)
haha this is great because u watch this then go to the version of petrucci playing it and to me u play better than him and its his solo! can't be the guitar because ure both using his sig. model.
well done man u really deserve to be in a band being a teacher obviously paid off towards ure technique.
When you've got enough gain and compression you don't need to pluck the note to get it to sound. Its sometimes referred to as a hammer-on from no where. Great playing man !
That's called flutter, you need a fairly decent trem to do that, and the arm needs to be pretty tight. when you hit harmonics you flick the end of the bar with your right hand, and the trem should wobble loaaaads, giving that gargle sound you hear =)
works best with a floating trem.... actually it only works with a floating trem, the trem can't be touching the body!
Thanks for the information. I still don't have any guitar with a floating trem. So i will definitely be doing some experimenting at Guitar Center soon.
Which picks do you use bro ??

@ANiceDog Thanks man! Yeah, no matter how much I've practiced, I just can't pick scales that fast. So I had to cheat a bit at the end. :)
