@hommieJMC in bujinkan ninjutsu, there are strikes that involve the slightest of pushes or prods, we use these for merely for effect and because pushing someone with a few fingers requires less energy compared to a full on punch, or palm heel strike, which leaves energy spare for other motions and strikes if necessary. these moves are used in conjuction with angles to cause the most effect with the least amount of effort. that was explained to me by my shidoshi
@hommieJMC All this stuff works, but it's like learning to bunny hop on a BMX, even if you do exactly the same thing as the guy who's trained, you won't achieve the same results. Most of the throws take a lot of practice to become as effortless as they look.
Yes. Definitely. It's not just "one little push". It was a "zenpō geri" to the stomache. A kick in Bujinkan goes "through" a bit like kicking in a door instead of a quick snap kick like in for example karatedō.
Furthermore it's upwards, lifting the opponent up which makes it quite difficult to keep standing.
@MrJWDragon92 noone backed you up... they just critised me for criticising judo.. you honestly havent brought anything to the argument apart from stupidity and nonsense. i was using the strike point as an example.. such as bjk and judo have grapples thai and kick boxing have strikes, you are the one carrying on the argumant with i dont believe wikipedia or somthing nonsense and you lied about being 3rd dan, its not exactly likely to be third dan in that time..
@MrJWDragon92 you are a very agressive man and a fool, i can bet you will never find a basic fact on a large page representing a well known topic any flau, you are clearly stubborn and ignorant your defence is meaningless insults and dismisals were i have put forth a rational and factual argumant. and you cant claim a martial arts good by the amount of 10th dans .. besides you are 19.. you have to be 18 to do bjk in almost all dojo's.+ year gap from 2nd to 3rd and 2 years from 0 to 1st seriously
@MrJWDragon92 you are dismissing wikipedia on a basic fact, my 5th and 6th dan instructers and seem to think that grappeling is only a name for a specified type of wrestling. you evedently did not do this martial arts as you think its not practical. you think a grapple cannot flow, and what you just said was like saying kickboxing and muay tai dont have strikes because they look different. also being calm when aplying a lock does not change it. hopefully the debate is now finished.
@MrJWDragon92 ...... atleast we know the problem.. ok yes you do use grapple when you sit oposite each other and the go to put the other person into submission but why would you refer to a technique as a grapple lets get wiki up as you obv havent, a grapple is "Grappling refers to techniques, maneuvers, and counters applied to an opponent in order to gain a physical advantage"and i refered to participate in ufc to need to know mixed martial arts.. they are different, ufc is a championship. good?
@MrJWDragon92 you cant honestly argue that its not a grapple because it has a flow or bjk dont grapple because they try not to grab each other, especially after saying bjk doesnt have grappeling because it isnt competative. id say 95% of the video is grappling apart from the strikes before 0:22 the bo staff stuff and the rolls, how can you say 0:55 is not a grapple? take a look at wiki, grapples generally mean menouvers which help you gain an advantage though are typically not strikes.
i cant believe you actually said that either you havent seen this video or you dont know what the grappling is.. why would it being none-competative mean that it doesnt have grappeling?
@MrJWDragon92 ok sorry, i didnt realise that judo was actually good how am i insulting bujinkan anyway? because i only mentioned one move shill your angre problems... i just thought that a method called the gentle way that has been put into a sport and not a warfare is good in an actual fight? also i know that mma isnt real martal arts i was using it to say people whom do it steroetypically are good in fight read before you post...
@MrJWDragon92 i disagree completely .. bjk grapples would seriously harm you if used, and judo has more of a full body grapple like trying to push people onto the floor etc im not sure they even have hand grapples, martial arts are amazing to use in a normal fight if you know how... ufc and such do use proper martial arts if you do ufc you have to know some mma.. i know so many situations its come in handy + sleeper holds things like that nick you out in 7 secs. you should look it up :p
@MrJWDragon92 well bujinkan is not a sport its an art so its not competative and you can learn fairly dangerouse stuff, judo is known to be quite poor for defending yourself against someone who knows how to fight as it is " the gentle way" things like kickboxing taekwondo and whatnot are quite rigid and dont flow less graples and such, also when they become sport ish point based things like you cant hit peoples backs and you dont learn to proritise body parts ect.
@PetShopMod its fun and social, the basic tecniques are good to learn and i think its quite nice to get into, i find it less routeen and rigid compared to most martial arts since it has grapple but it has more of a flow with a lot fo the moves, also unlike mose martial arts you go up a grade whenever if you turn up to the seminars, though in like taekwon do you have to have years between some grades.
@rrs99 The thing about feeling off balance /being off balance is that it makes you want to rebalance, if your focusing on that ,your not going to be focusing on your opponent ,but they’ll be focused on you ?
@hommieJMC these are demos, the real thing is fast paced, but in training we dont go full speed because these techniques in real life...well the one caught in it wont be going home
@hommieJMC I know a grapple from that only requires ONE FINGER to get you dow on your knees. Me and my friends call it "The poke of Death" cuz it HURTS LIKE HELL!
This video is just slow mo training and not actual ninjutsu in combat speed. the art is extremely lethal and dangerous when applied properly. this video doesnt give the art much credit sadly
it doesnt look too effective as a martial art.. but never the less, never did krav maga.. i wonder how it will do in a real fight with a different martial art...
i'll pity the guy who desides try and rob one of them.

@18859054 If he has full control over you, but if he is not that experienced you can always you a counter thenknique.
Also the poit is even if you're hurt you should always stand up, if you don't you die. ( Kacem Zoughari)

@hommieJMC
well, considering the sweeping strike from his left foot and the way the "attacker" is standing, yes it is.
his already off balance before he is hit by the "tiny little push". and yes, they are sparing so they might not go all out.
