Hey. I'm gettin 2 beardies(male and female) soon and u can see the tank in my other lizard vids if u could check it out on my channel and give me some tips before I get the beardies
I'm considering getting a hedgehog, and I'm trying to convince my mom to let me get it, but I need some more care tips, I guess, and a layout to show her that I'm ready to take care of it, do you think you could message me?
Next week I am ordering my bearded dragon from a breeder. All the stuff will be set up and ready for him when he gets here. His moms a citrus orange and his dad a hypopastel yellow- any advice?
@TheJardena research a lot before you get him and you'll be fine. I have a few videos on the care of bearded dragons, and there are also many other videos and websites you should check out. Learn as much as you can about them so you can provide them with the best home.
I was wondering what your take was on people using tubs as permanent homes for their snakes/lizards? A lot argue that its cleaner and more ventilation compared to a tank with a wire top (I don't see how).
I'd like your opinion on this, Earth. You've made some pretty accurate videos before on herps.
@oichi12 as for ventilation, tubs provide plenty, especially if they aren't covered air tight and they also have air holes(which I drill into all my tubs). Like you said they are also easier to clean. And the 'tubs' you see in this video are actually part of an expensive reptile rack made by boaphile reptile racks. Many snake and reptile keepers use racks with plastic tubs and I find it to be easy for the owner to keep clean and keep the temperature correct, and also a good home for the pets.
@paulfityo1 Maybe she figured he deserved a home where he'd get more attention? I have a friend with a ball python who takes him out of his cage often and he's very sweet.
@CreditR01 That was pretty much the reason. Snakes don't need a lot of 'care', they are easy to just let sit in a cage and feed a couple times a month. But she wanted her snake to be taken out and held more, which she wasn't able to do; which is why she had me take him for a while.
@paulfityo1 she didn't have time to take him out and handle him; in order to keep him calm and nice. She felt bad she never 'played' with him, and barely took him out. So she gave him to me for now, but I told her she can have him back whenever she wants.
@earthling1984 that's a very nice thing for you to do. keeping a snake tame isnt very time consuming either. at least she has somone who can give that little guy a nice home.
@MineColbyCraft ur correct on the 'care' part, but she didn't have time to take him out and keep him tame and used to humans, which is why she gave him to me; because I handle all my pets often.
@levon60153 yeah, it had no real damage, just what I showed in the video, replaced the hood latch and the cover on the front bumper and it looks brand new again :)
If you dont mind me asking, but what do you do for a livin?
