Just a heads up to people still on the fence with buying a Prime, with the ics update WiFi "issue" is fixed. It was made to run ICS not honeycomb. Manage wireless networks for a living and ran every test out there for wifi and with update got 20+mbps down and 2 up. Same as laptop next to prime. even beat a acer tablet downloading a large app from the market. for gps havent ran any tests yet but can say it worked fine the few times i used it.

just because its a bit thinner and lighter it still isint worth to buy it with all the problems that it has not reading the serial no. and who cares if it is less difficult to take it out of the dock at least the original is more secure and won't fall out of you hand when you take it out.

I finally got mine now and all i can say is I don't give a rats ass about the gps. Love it. My niggle is that right now on ice cream sandwich it doesn't read the ps3 pad correctly but they will get there. I will drop them an email soon. the downside? Whilst typing on the mac right now? I feel the need to press the post button on screen with my finger.

@castout85 They will very soon. Everyone is waiting on Windows 8 to come out to release the good tablets (Ancer has a pretty good Win7 tablet right now though). Unfortunately windows 7 does not support ARM processors, but this will change this year when Win8 comes out.

I tried buying the TF101 months ago as I wanted a portable ebook reader/video player/workstation/wordprocess­or/web broswer with good battery life and portability. Sadly when I got it the TF101 could barely play video files and would skip large chunks frames. Then there was the power issues. It would take multiple tries to get the unit to start up and shut down. And when connected to the docking station it wouldn't start up at all.

I sent it back very disappointed.Has the TF201fixed these issues?
