  • 7 billion dollars? Fuck that.

  • chris needs a primetime show. he is so much more eloquent than Lawrence and the fat one, and al sharpton is awful

  • America: A country where its mass media is so bad that a comedy show has the best quality news on air.

  • woah lol, RON PAUL 2012!

I dont watch TV but dang i love john! xD

  • @UrSoMeanBoss no h, just Jon.

  • Congress really needs to be thinned out...with those fucking republicunts first in line of gunfire

  • i cant believe that retard called it "nine one one". "one one" and "eleven" aren't the same. you wouldnt try to pronounce a word by reading each letter by itself.

  • John Stewart is a comedian, we can't take him seriously.

  • @lantern256 Jon Stewart is a shill for the Left. The guy isn't a comedian - he's an entirely untrustworthy weasel.

  • @DrCruel Where is he wrong?

  • @AvalonDraconis Stewart claims that the funds are for first responders to the 9/11 tragedy - does not mention how lawyers, union leaders and other friends of Obama will profit. He did not mention that a group of Republicans, led by Sen. Mike Enzi, were worried about fraud and how none of this money would actually reach any of the first responders.

Like I said. The man is a weasel.

  • @DrCruel Stewart's a weasel? You think he has an agenda for wanting to see these people receive some help with medical bills. Yes fraud - God forbid anyone commit a fraud before the white collars have their chance.

  • @TexasCharley I don't think he honestly gives a damn, I think he's only interested in pandering to his audience - because never deviating from the Party line is how this guy makes his millions. And I have even less respect for his fans, who can despise someone for no other reason than that he works at a "white collar" job.

  • @DrCruel Free from argument, I detect a strong bias. I am inferring a sense of "the right is right and the left is wrong" in our discussion. I cannot support nor influence this type of ideology. I find value in the truth. Be it to say that I disagree with you regarding the value of people such as the Daily Show writers and the audience that gives time to listen.. I feel that Stewart does in fact provide a welcome counter to the obscenely perverse 24hr channels. Cheers to you.

  • @TexasCharley Perhaps I also possess this art of divination, and can "detect" whatever bias I like in others. My spider sense tells me that, were I to make similar accusations against Glenn Beck or Rush Limbaugh, you would be far more agreeable with my observations.

I find value in the truth. That is why I cannot abide the deliberate deceits that Jon Stewart and people like him use to entertain their ideologically minded fan base. If you include yourself as such a fan, I feel sorry for you.

  • @lantern256 Being a comedian doesn't mean he is wrong. Tell me how this is untrue. Show me the documents that show that Democrats were the ones who were filibustering. You can't.

  • @AvalonDraconis He says it all the time. When anybody asks him tough questions he always runs back to the "I am just a comedian." line. So again, We cannot take him seriously.

  • @lantern256 Again, that doesn't mean he is wrong. Conveying factual information in a funny way doesn't suddenly mean that the information is less factual.

  • @lantern256 It seems to me that you've got a very narrow window of observation. Mr Stewart is perhaps the most honest political reporter in all of the cable outlets. And he does it on a 20 minute fake news show. Look - I'm just encouraging you, and others to open the point of observation a bit more. Try openmindedness. Be a freethinker.

  • @TexasCharley Wow. You just opened my eyes. I think I will go out to the occupy crowd and maybe deface a couple buildings, rape somebody and overdose in a tent. All after killing people. isn't that what Jon Stewart promoted not to long ago

  • @lantern256 I had a feeling you would reply with some heady dribble. Why do we bother to try and communicate with one another. We, people who recognize the need for healthy exchange, try to promote open mindedness and free thought. Unfortunately some folks simply appear as stubborn, narrow minded children. Children with large vocabularies, small minds and disturbing attitudes. I know, if every one thought like you everything would be ok. Why won't they just be like you?

  • @TexasCharley No you promote condescension thus I reply with sarcasm.

  • @TexasCharley I have encountered this sort of attitude before. "Healthy debate" is promoted only when the ideological sales pitch is being made. If the intended victim thereafter does not mimic the promoted worldview, it is due to "stubbornness" or "petulance". At no time during this sales pitch are dissenting viewpoints so much as considered.

George Orwell brilliantly characterized the phenomena in his essay entitled "Notes on Nationalism". I'd suggest checking it out.

  • @DrCruel you mean like being called a liberal hack? Seems like that is all a person gets from debate these days. Name calling with no facts is the normal style of debate.

  • @Dixon607 But he is a Leftist hack. Just listen to his monologues and his interviews. He consistently acts as a spokesman, if not pitchman, of the Leftist worldview. There is never the slightest deviation from this formula - not even when he must devolve into abject absurdity to support it (and here his reputation as a clown becomes useful).

I can't see how any rational, decent sort of person can be blind to it. I'm simply making a statement of obvious fact.

  • @DrCruel your statement is so far from fact. I have found over the years that anyone who thinks differently from the right are demonized. Everything you say applies to the wing nuts in charge of the Republican party. As usual you have no facts, rather, just noise and name calling to back what you say. Try looking in to issues somewhere besides FOX, or any news station for that matter. Listen then check their facts and maybe then you can think for yourself.

  • @Dixon607 I posted my facts at the beginning of this text wall. That they've been ignored is not my fault.

As for the people in charge of the Republican Party being "right wing nuts", I'd wish their detractors would make up their mind. This was a problem with descriptions about George W. Bush, and before him Ronald Reagan - the conflicting claims that these people are simultaneously diabolically evil geniuses and mindless morons. It's the sort of contradiction I'd expect from the Daily Show.

  • @lantern256 This is not true. Stewart has had numerous interviews where he clearly expresses himself and his views. More importantly those views are based (agree or disagree with the views) on a strong understanding of matters on which he is commenting. Hell, he has been on OReilly's show more than once.

  • @TexasCharley That's what makes his subterfuge, equivocations and lies by omission so unforgivable. It's not like he's ignorant about what he's talking about. When he misleads people, he does so by deliberate calculation and design.

Thus the term "weasel". The man is a Leftist hack, and has become quite rich because of it - and at a "white collar" job no less ...

  • @DrCruel amazing how you see Jon's so called lies and omissions. You must really be angry with the FOX so called "news teams". I almost vomitted typing that. Stweart is an equal opportunity basher. To me, FOX, MSNBC and other tabloid news people have the same problems from different angles.

  • @Dixon607 They're not "so-called". And yes, I'm frequently annoyed by the bald faced partisanship of FOX News anchors - although not so that I'd throw up because of it.

US news services have been steadily decreasing in quality, a bad thing made worse because they weren't all that good to begin with. Contrary to Jon Stewart's claims on Crossfire, he is more of an extreme example of what's wrong with our talking heads rather than a solution to them.

  • @TexasCharley Yes it is true. He has never repudiated one thing the OWS has done he incourages it.

  • Olberman is such a douche... Maybe this would have passed, but wait, there's that nasty way of adding things to bills that have nothing to do with the bill so you can spin the news to your advantage ...

  • @cortmeister262 How about when will Americans just wake up? Pepsi or Coke? Burger King or McDonalds? Fox or MSNBC? Democrats or Republicans? Duopolies. There's no choice there. They're run by the same bankers and actors in office in corporate America. WAKE THE FUCK UP! We are not in the system our founding fathers had intended. The organic Constitution was gone with the improper ratification of the 14th Amendment. It gives no gov't accountability and turns us into slaves to the elite bankers.

  • @JUSTICE4VTRS

I don't think you know what the word "slave" means.

  • @heatbucspies55 Somebody who is owned by somebody. We are debt slaves. "The truth is Neo, we are all slaves" (Morpheus--The Matrix). The system is printing us into an inextinguishable debt so that we will always owe them. How about Neo's ID? Expiration date: 9/11/2001. You're just one of those sleeping Americans still if you don't think we are owned by the same bankers who own our politicians.

  • @JUSTICE4VTRS

I'm not sleeping, just think calling it slavery is ridiculous.

The banks don't own me, and I'm pretty sure they don't own you either.

    If they do, I'm sorry.

  • @heatbucspies55 Do you pay taxes? If you have a job, you do. That's one of the reasons I don't believe in getting a job. Do you and I and everybody else owe in taxes or whatever to the national debt? Yes.

  • @heatbucspies55 The fact that I think is important here is that we are all owned. We are an enslaved people. Ultimately we are enslaved by our needs and wants. WE enslave ourselves. Knowing this other are able to become the "slave master". For instance all property is taxable. If for some reason you can not pay your taxes you lose your property. You MUST generate cash forever and you never really own the property. In our hearts honest moments we all know we long for a better taste of freedom.

  • ISNT IT A SHAME THAT WE GET MORE TRUTH FROM COMEDY CENTRAL THAN MOST NEWS NETWORKS!!?!?

  • @Psa1mist9 It is actually funny, or sad.

    it's tragic :/

  • NOT THE CASH! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

  • mixtapes ... lol!

  • rachel maddow is looking good

  • Thank God for Jon Stewart. If corporate media would only report the REAL NEWS like this, there would be less ignorance in the US. But of course the Fortune 500 Corporations and the Government don't want it that way, ignorance is bliss. Unfortunately, the majority of the electorate are nothing more than meat with eyes that drink the proverbial Corporate Media Koolaid with a Krazy Straw. God Bless America. We are so screwed!!!

  • Death have no deadline to the GOP apparently....

  • dude run for president, u would win

  • hahaha, Jon Stewart is as much of a cancer as O' Reilly, mocking the other side won't bring the unity we need. Then again they really don't give a shit, it's all about the money. Jon has great writers they made Craig kilborn watchable for fuck's sake.

  • This is easy to do for either party.

911 responders probably already get benefits.

Bills get all sorts of things tacked on, like funds for orphaniges on a bloated farm subsidies bill. A senator votes it down, then his opponents say he hates orphans.

  • @ABCs87

Dude, KO was off the air from 1/21 to 6/20 of this year...since u made that comment only 4 MONTHS ago, so...on 5/20, Keith was still off the air and so your comment is ENTIRELY ignorant.

And even so, people who don't get that "worst persons" is not literally referring to "evil" but rather to "STUPIDITY," (except in the rare case where something SO bad was done that he just had to call it's perpetrators out on it) then you are a moron who gets neither the purpose nor the joke of the "w

  • This would be funny if it weren't true.

  • I'm so embarrassed to be from South Dakota because of John Thune. All he is a republican talking head.

  • It is up to private citizens to spend their money. If you feel morally obligated to help, then donate to charity. Don't have the government take peoples money via taxes, and give to others. Private citizens do this without the government and would do a lot more if the government did not. It is not the governments job to this. Government is an inefficient corruptable bureaucracy. Let private citizens decide on who to give what of their hard earned money to. God bless the heroes of 9/11.

  • So Peter Johnson didn't mention the Republicans by name. Does Jon Stewart have the balls to ever mention Tom Coburn by name?

  • I think Keith should just do a world's worst where he just has "Republican Senators" for all three spots. I can just hear the youtube whiners already, too, flooding the comment sections with nicknames for their favorite liberal they love to hate to admit is right.

  • @Deioth I'm pretty sure Jon Stewart just did a segment on the Daily Show completely tearing apart Keith Olbermann, and mocking his world's worst segment. This past Thursday, you can find it on the Huffington Post's website.

  • @ABCs87 Why are you responding to a four month old comment with equally old news?
