Ariel atom 300 for example 0-100 in 6.86 but top speed is 155mph which i would have thought was down to gearing but even so other cars getting that sort of time would be in the 200mph+ club.
@kubeczek140 I would imagine cams, headwork and throttle bodies. Shouldn't be too hard as it's a good engine and shouldn't require bottom end work for that power. Won't have the standard cars low end though throttle bodies will keep it ok driveable but without some sort of variable cam system it will be a mid, top end car and quite tiring to drive on the road. Honda are the only ones to have made a 2.0 that produces that sort of power and you can still drive it home like a normal car.

I've owned an Audi s3 and had it tuned to 270bhp simply my remapping the ecu. it was also pushing 290ib ft of torque and I can testify that it would give any stock m3 serious problems. in any gear it was devastating and once the turbo's kicked in at around 2200 rpm there was no stopping it. before that I owned a chipped mk1 R32 which I can only describe as simply sublime. Not as fast as the S3 but much more entertaining!
This Audi S3 is a monster and is by no way less than 350hp... My estimate is that it is stage 2+ (with high-pressure fuel pump) and pushes 360-370hp ...!
the m3 e46 and s3 are a good match, by the way people, the s3 is not always 4 wheels drive, its only two wheel drive until it looses traction and the haldex system comes into play! every bit of respect for that clio, it kept up well, i think it would only loose due to top end speed. cant beat a tuned s3, surprises a lot of people.

I have to admire that little Clio,that can keep up with such savage cars like M3,and tuned S3. I could only emagine what that car would do to those 2 cars if they were at same power figure. But I'm also surprised that 4WD with less bhp is more powerful on the road than RWD with 13 more bhp? What about transmision losess? So it might be that S3 got little more power than dyno test says-because sometimes dyno results can varry up to 20%. Btw nice race,and all cars are stunning. :) Cheers!
M3 is heavier than S3, S3 has 4x4 but it's not AWD, big time in driving it is like FWD, when needed, more power is transmitted to rear, it's not so power taking like toersen quattro which is on a4, a6 etc., S3 has haldex which takes less power from engine.
You know this is a tuned car vs a stock car right? Since the S3 is turbo-charged its also faster when you push it hard because of the high amount of torques

Ok we have a well tuned Audi S3 with an apparent 330bhp, a standard 340bhp M3 and a tuned Clio Sport with 220bhp. Now how on earth is the Clio going to keep up with either cars? It doesn't even have the torque of a turbo charger. Ok an M3 isn't forced induction either but it manages to produce massive bhp and torque without it.
Despite the weight advantage my guess is that Clio is producing 250bhp plus. Surely you'd get more than 23bhp from a race engine re-build, ECU and full exhuast. hmmm
Good comment but its not just about bhp, torque is always the overiding factor. For instance, my 850 T5 produces around 290bhp and weighs around the same as an E36 M3 Evo that produces over 320bhp, but the T5 will outrun them any day from a rolling start as it produces nearly 400nm of torque.
Still, both M3 and Clio in this vid were N/A so with the power to weight it probably evens out fairly.
it is a very strong clio rs that will produce 230bhp, they are known for not making renaults claims as standard - typically 160bhp.
also the torque to weight of the clio and M3 will be very similar so only above 100mph where weight is less of a factor and power to drag coefficient is what matters, Here the M3 will be quicker. Must admit the M3 driver cannot launch his car at all

a tuned s3 can pass a stock m3 e46 because its quite lighter, but for sure the m3 is more a drivers car than the audi.
the bmw gives u more feeling and has a much better steering wheel, audi is easier and does the hard job for u.
the tiny clio is also a good drivers car.
driving it into the limit gives you pure entertainment and makes you better driver everyday!

@kenanenver stock 323i is only 170hp and is quite slow but even if yours is 230hp which i doubt, you said that runs head to head with a stock clio.
mine is a stock 182 and its much faster than a 193hp 328i and runs the same with a 231hp 330i until 200km\h.
so bring your car for a race with my clio.. but u shoud also carry a telescope together..otherwise you will not able to see me!!!

You know this is a tuned car vs a stock car right? Since the S3 is turbo-charged its also faster when you push it hard because of the high amount of torques

ok so a tuned to fuck clio stays with a standard M3 .............so what ! if the m3 was tuned it wud have raped the lot of them !!!! all the m3 needed to fuck both of em is just a lightweight flywheel.....for £500....and to fuck them really good just a remap as well, without even touching the engine !!

S Milltekom sam dobio skoro 20ks po dynu a i u vožnji se pun k osjetilo, spustio sam vrijeme na 1/4 milje jedno 0.3 / 0.4 sekunde

Ok we have a well tuned Audi S3 with an apparent 330bhp, a standard 340bhp M3 and a tuned Clio Sport with 220bhp. Now how on earth is the Clio going to keep up with either cars? It doesn't even have the torque of a turbo charger. Ok an M3 isn't forced induction either but it manages to produce massive bhp and torque without it.
Despite the weight advantage my guess is that Clio is producing 250bhp plus. Surely you'd get more than 23bhp from a race engine re-build, ECU and full exhuast. hmmm

Clio 172 = 1035kg. That means 212.56hp/tonne.
M3 E46 = 1573kg. That means 214.87hp/tonne.
A 540kg weight advtange is VERY significant. If it had 250hp it'd maul the others.

Good comment but its not just about bhp, torque is always the overiding factor. For instance, my 850 T5 produces around 290bhp and weighs around the same as an E36 M3 Evo that produces over 320bhp, but the T5 will outrun them any day from a rolling start as it produces nearly 400nm of torque.
Still, both M3 and Clio in this vid were N/A so with the power to weight it probably evens out fairly.

it is a very strong clio rs that will produce 230bhp, they are known for not making renaults claims as standard - typically 160bhp.
also the torque to weight of the clio and M3 will be very similar so only above 100mph where weight is less of a factor and power to drag coefficient is what matters, Here the M3 will be quicker. Must admit the M3 driver cannot launch his car at all

Yeah the T5 is quite a sleeper although the sports suspension, 17inch 850-R wheels i put on for better traction and full cat-less sports exhaust give the game away a little. Even at low revs she's hissing and growling like rottweiler on a rope :)
