I remember him having one good pick in Andrei Markov at around 160th overall and Markov only blossomed by 2001-2002. Oh and Michael Ryder at 217th wasn't that bad either.

Niemi's an average goalie, good backup and a half ass starter. Leighton's a better than minors goalie, but average backup. They just so happen to be behind the two best defenses in the league.

As much as a lot of people hate Pronger, I believe he's a first ballot HoF once his career ends. He's a great player and he's been dominating the position so much, the lockout had to increase scoring (I believe that because of the mid 90s rise of so many great defensemen, the lockout/low scoring started and Pronger was the best from them) so that he wouldn't own the position as much.

And what does he do? Puts up 60 points over and over and drags the Oilers to the Cup final.
