So, people are concerned about the animals hurting each other... As a former cockatoo owner, I'm concerned about you losing your molding and banister to the wrath of that beak! lol
Toos love chewing on carpet threads & wood. Your staircase & woodframes are lovely. With a too running loose, won't be long before they take a bite every now and then. At least, that's been my experience.
For anyone who doesn't know the bird is rubbing it's beak like that because it feels good and is comforting to it. If you see felines rubbing their whiskers along surfaces with 90 degree angles, i.e. chair or table legs, it is a similar concept. They are like little silica or fingers to them, so cat owners get a wide bowl, as cats don't like the edges of their whiskers touching the bowl while they drink. Great vid as well. Peace and Love, EB.
birds really are the gaurd dogs of the house arent they! lol if someone comes in my house that my sun doesnt like she lets everyone know! as a matter of fact my grandma came by today and arwen puffed up started screaming and bit me! :O bad bird i put her in her home! lol
How much for the bird? I WAT IT SO BAD! is it a he or a she, looks like a he for some reason! lol and no trying to be mean but, is the parrot agressive in any way??
That opening shot is so adorable! What breed is your cat? When I get a place of my own, I want an Umbrella Cockatoo or Blue Macaw... oh, and a Miniature Schnauzer and Russian Blue. That'd be a madhouse! =D
LOL I always have to say "oi" to my Cockatoo as well... always decides he's gunna rip something he's not supposed to. What sort of toys do you get for your moluccan OneCrazyHouse? 90% of toys don't last more than 10 minutes with my Umbrella. The odd tree keeps him busy for at least an hour..... (proof on my videos, which you are welcome to view).
That is so cute! Love how the bird is the "king of the castle" and the dogs run off! Also liked the "don't chew the carpet" instruction. Haha we have an umbrella and I know how they love to destroy things. Thanks for sharing.
@Gracie05452 One thing I've noticed is that the bigger the bird, the more apprehensive a cat is about it. If it were a parakeet, then the cat has an easy meal. In the case of a cockatoo, macaw, or other large bird, the bird has an easy way to... Relieve it's stress. :P

Looks like the dog is the only one that will challenge the bird, the dog better watch out, one chomp on the nose with the beak and its over.
