  • Seeing this man's amazing spirit and personality makes me proud to share the same last name as him, no matter how common a name it is.

  • .........ok i KNOW i started off looking at cat videos. Wtf happened..

  • Just the best spirit.

  • omg! he's hilarious! I wish i had met him!

  • 4:00 was incredibly awesome, what a badass. Terrible story though :(

  • I love how he explains that death is a part of life. You truly live life you need to embrace the heart aches in life. No one told us life was paerfect. He made the best with what he had. RIP Johnny

  • Dear god this man was a fantastic soul when he was alive. He had such a bright personality and a vibrant sense of humor. The fact that he could talk so freely about his condition and death while cracking jokes about it really made me smile. AND he liked Queen. I can't think of a more amazing person than this individual.

R.I.P Johnny. You were a fantastic lad.

  • What does it mean?

No one knows what it means. Great moment.

  • 6:47 - Did he say "constant wanking"??

  • I love his spirit despite what he goes through and the way that he views life.

  • But we still have to believe in God...even if we don't know why things happened sometimes...

  • that is really sad i cant imagine the pain

  • this guy is awesome!!

  • so inspiring.

  • "And that's me in the box!" No one else finds that particularly disconcerting.

  • @MairiBerry i thought it was refreshingly startling to witness such a serene matter of fact attitude. taking such a thing as death and turning from something scary and horrible into something normal. as if not dying is scary and horrible and something strange. beautiful.

  • great intro, great documentary, wicked person

  • He had an amazing spirit despite his condition, what an amazing/admirable person. It's really sad he wanted to die, but obviously he was just in too much pain. He's in a better place, free of pain now.

  • Rest in Peace Jonny Kennedy. We know that you are in Heaven and not in pain.

  • damn... he made his own coffin..

  • His sense of humor is great "dribblin' old fart" made me burst out laughing. And the way he jokes about picking out his coffin and the decals... what an awesome dude. I'm sad he's gone, but happy I found this.

  • @alexiastarwatcher

i don't know about you, but watching jonny makes me shame that i complain about things that at the end of the day amount nothing. thank GOD for the times we are reminded that there is more to life than BS. :) GOD help and Bless us all

  • Wait so he was dead in the chair?

  • @Angelnot95 i think so....

  • thi s made me sad..

  • 19 people have no soul! Sad, sad story! RIP Jonny!

  • is he dead in his wheelchair?

  • i would find it so hard to just talk normally about my coffin, death and funeral.

  • God bless him, what an amazing spirit! I'm sure he's in heaven now with no pain. =)

  • Totally love and respect his attitude on his condition. I would've loved to have met and called him a friend.

  • i gotta say i saw the preview for this when i was a little kid and the part where he says that's me in the box scared the shit out of me

  • OMGosh that is sooo sad that he went and bought his own caskit even though he was still alive this is sad God Bless Him<3

  • "constant wanking" Hes just straight to the point lol

  • LOL, "when your a toddler, it seems you spend more time on your arse then on the ground

  • What a wonderful little character. Had me laughing, even through the serious bits. Sad that he is gone from this world.

  • OMFG. D': I love Queen, too. :3

I love this guy. Dx He is so spirited and good-humored... :3 He's an example to all of us. We should keep our wits about us and be thankful for what we have. <3 R.I.P. Johnny. :'3

  • LMFAO. "constant wanking" I love this guy.

  • Bless his soul. I've only watched five minutes of this, and already I am moved by how beautiful this man was. So brave. I sincerely hope he is resting with God.

  • What a terrific attitude. Mr Kennedy hope to have a chat with you on the other side brother. Rest well.

  • this is soo sad D:

  • I have ankylosing spondylitis and was in pain all the time for a long time before i recently started taking medicine which i have to take for the rest of my life, great (sarcasm). BUT I see johnny here and damn I have it good, untill my spine fuses, but even then damn!

  • Man I got no probs.

  • "contstant wanking, just doesn't go well with the condition." i really wish i had met this guy.

  • "It doesn't mean anything, but it'll get 'em talking."

    I love this guy.

  • Damn, that guy is metal as fuck sitting there watching his coffin being built.

  • Comment removed

  • i am for some reason scared of death but he looks in the eye and he picks out his own COFFIN!!!!!!!OMG i look up to this guy

  • This kid has a great sense of humor!!! How brave!!!

  • hhahhahah hes a real life Benjamin Button lmfao

  • "such as constant wanking " OMG hahahaha i had to replay that just to see if i heard right lol lololol

  • @CherryBlossom7o7 ur so rude

  • @princesssecret200 - How is that being rude ? His not angry nor bitter about his situation so all he can do is have a sense of humor about it because there is nothing he can do and he realizes it. His intention for saying "Such as constant wanking " was to make people laugh not at him but with him. I admire him for his sense of humor and out look on life many people would have given up on life but he did not.

  • @princesssecret200 For some people, if they don't laugh, they'll cry.

  • Damn nature you scary! Personal RIP

  • wtf i mean who the hell would dislike this

  • Heinz company could sue the coffin company for copyright infringement. :/

  • Without health life is not life; it is only a state of langour and suffering - an image of death.

    ~Buddha~

  • He was truly a beautiful man, with a beautiful outlook on life.

  • “Things that make my skin fall off?” "Severe friction such as constant wanking is one thing."....lmao AHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I don't believe most people ever catch his incredible sense of humor. What a brave man, possibly the strongest person in the world. Who else could live through that with a sense of humor? Rest in Peace Jonny.

  • I i dont understand was he dead sitting in that chair in the begining when his brother said "im pleased hes gone" and if he is dead WHY IS HE JUST SITTING IN A CHAIR

  • @PitBullRa19h666 i thought that too! i had to rewind the start just to see if he actually really was just sitting there dead...

  • What a badass, I wouldn't mind getting a Heinz symbol on my coffin either lol

  • He has such a great view on life, I wish I had that.

  • Thank you so much for this Jonny <3

  • What a touching story. I cant help but cry for this boy, and all the others who live in agonizing pain everyday. The people with the worst lives seem to always make the best of it. They are the strongest people in my opinion, along with the family members who help take care of them. Why cant people who have EVERYTHING realize how truely lucky they are :(

  • i love this guys sense of humor and his personality is inspiring <3

Why do all the good people in life have to die? ):

  • did he say constantly wanking? XD

This guy has a great sense of humor.

  • What an inspiration.

  • i have no words to describe how i feel right now.

  • Is that Kevin Whately doing the narration?

  • is he dead in the beginning of the documentary...? he decided to narrate his own death?

  • hahaha he made a wank off joke. this guy rules.

  • i lmfao when he said what he wanted on his coffin, he is a brave man.

  • Aahahahahah!! Hilarious!

  • @1989jolle There is NOTHING funny about this you fucking loser

  • @vlizzler ...Succesful trolling

  • He's a right gentleman.

  • Is it just to me, or was his voice really adorable?

  • I remember this show, I watched in tv years ago. I love him because hes so strong and so posetive. Even though hes suffering he has such a great outlook on life.

  • 06:48 DID he say "CONSTANT WANKING"? I keep repeating it to make sure but that's what I'm hearing. LOL

  • @nhoxzjn he did

  • oh my gosh this man is amazing <3

the wanking part made me laugh so hard!

  • He's so funny! :)

  • ♥ adorable man

  • that is one cool person to look up to.

  • "am I going to be a dribbling old fart?" ahaha

  • wow this doco is so amazing <3

  • i'm confused..johnny is at :51...but why does he say he s in the box at 1:14?

  • @rctriplefresh5 because the project was started before he died, and he knew he would die, so he recorded it in future "present" tense, if that's understandable....

  • @rctriplefresh5 He filmed this knowing he was going to die so he recorded his story like he was telling it.

  • @Avatarfan10000 i understand tht but is he the boy in the yellow shirt or the guy in the box...it looks like they are inn the same room at the same time..and the boy in the box doesn't look 5'3 like ohnny...but then again idk what they do with bodies once they are dead....and maybe once i watch the other parts it will make sense can't understand a word they are saying(im americsn)

  • @rctriplefresh5 They're both him, it's two different scenes. In the yellow shirt, he had recently died. In the coffin, it's a little bit later.

  • owwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww that must hurt

  • well he bough the coffin thinking in the relief he is going tohave after aaaall those years of painful hurt he is like finally the last round I happy done with it!!!

  • Well shit at least he's got a hell of a sense of humor.

  • hav u ever thought about what coffin you want to be put in.?

  • 5:56

Notice the look on the kid's face after the drip of a radio host says his skin condition hasn't affected his intelligence.

  • He is so strong <3 RIP Jonny. This is so inspirational. He has the right view on death. 5:01 - 5:21 is the most beautiful quote I have ever heard.

  • Comment removed

  • ",,,,but despite this, he is very intelligent." i mean, what?! How does his condition have anything to do with his intelligence?

  • @ginnypinnydfjs I think he's just trying to explain that the condition doesn't affect his intelligence, just like some people require the fact of cancer not being contageous to be explained to them. You're right though, it doesn't have anything to do with his intelligence.

  • @ginnypinnydfjs clearly the radio host had a small struggle finding the words and we still understood what he meant. obviously it has nothing to do with his intelligence.

  • @ginnypinnydfjs Probably because it's hard to learn when you can't move...

  • @ginnypinnydfjs Hahaha, true. It would be worth mentioning if he could say "...but despite this, he is very athletic."

  • @ginnypinnydfjs To keep your sanity while dealing with not only death but horrible symptoms is a 'despite' to me.

I've seen first hand what dying and knowing you are dying can do to someone. Some start feeling like letting go long before they need to... that includes their intelligence and self awareness. If you let go of your thoughts (or try) it seems to hurt less... not to mention that fatal illness can make you lose your intelligence unwillingly depending on the symptoms.

  • @BeyondBracelets that`s very interesting. Looking at it that way does make that comment sound a bit different, actually.I can very well imagine the thing about trying to let go of your thoughts so it hurts less. I`m sorry you`ve had to experience something like this first hand. Thanks for taking the time to reply :-)

  • @ginnypinnydfjs Yeah, it's difficult to watch someone go through it and I can't even begin to imagine actually having to go through it. This guy was very brave... and it's nice to see some will actually take initiative and do something awesome with what little time they have left. It's people like him that make the world better even after they've passed.

  • He still kind of looks like a child. :') I would have loved to meet Jonny. He's such an inspirational person, looking at only the best of life than the worst.

  • Picking out your own coffin? Thats sad bro :(

  • @lyric142 that was MY eighth birthday! :p

  • they takes him to go buy coffin when he stil alive. that horrible.

  • 26th September, 2003? That was my eighth birthday.

  • It takes some serious BALLS to go out and buy YOUR OWN DAMN COFFIN.

    God bless man, god bless.

  • hes a wise man. but a bean can and a tiger?

  • @MrNeonZebras god dosen't exist

  • This ugly world needed him. He was too good for us.

  • I don't even... This is the most beautiful thing I've ever watch. I would have loved to meet him.

  • He inspired me to write a song that actually ended up on our 7th album. He was such an amazing person.

  • What an amazing bit of proof of the good and power of the human spirit. Not human nature, but the spirit of a human being. We should all be so lucky to have the natural strength of this man. Just imagine what he would have been like without DEB. He made the choice to make the most of the time he had, even though it tore his skin off. Who can honestly say they have the balls or the will to suffer as admirably under similar circumstances. He is better than me.

  • I would actually like to know when I will die, so I can make the best of my life while I still have it, like Jonny did. He seemed to have no fear...like he was celebrating it by decorating his coffin and such...I loved how he dealt with it! Such a strong person. And he looked happy at least...

  • it must be hard to know your gonna die

  • @cakegirl2000

Obviously you are going to die sometime. So, basically you could die in the next 5 minutes, or tomorrow...

Tomorrow is never promised to us, so you must keep that in mind. But I understand what you are saying, like you are sick and you only have 4 months to live (or weeks, as told to people by different doctors)...like you know you are going to die within the year. That could be hard for some people, but to me Jonny saw it as a celebration.

    I'm following in his footsteps.

  • @xLadyMystiquex that is a great message thank you

  • @cakegirl2000 Everyone's going to die. You're going to die. We just have more time than him. Your clock is slowly ticking as well don't forget.

  • i cried

  • I would have loved to have met him.

  • What an amazing person he was!

  • What an optimistic guy. Rest in peace Jonny. :)

  • What an incredibly positive, funny person. I wonder why he chose the Heinz label for his coffin though? To get people talking lol so random. I love it.

  • He was halarious, im sad hes gone.So free.
