@ZE2Chevypickupman: simple the 6.7's platform was designed to be reliable in excess of 1000 lbft with emissions equipment. Sure a duramax can make those numbers but not w/o voiding warranties. In other words GM may have an issue making that reliably.

And if you ask me i thought it was a rock solid deal, because they sold Detroit Diesel to Chrysler in like 98 or 99 and started the production of the Dmax in 01 and sold off its half of Izusu in 06 and in '11 the duramax is the class leading diesel producing 397HP and 765lb./ft.

He was also giving that poor 6.4 a 300hp shot of spray. He had a SCT with the 300 shot and ran like a 13.3 or 13.6 in the 1/4 mile. you would think it would be a bit faster with that much spray.

This is my truck....I ran a 13.3@99 on #2 and 13.2@101 on the "50hp" jet.
No spray on the sled pulls and it was over 300 ft each pull, I think around 320 if I remember right.
Truck had the Spartan 275 tune.
