i agree that your tank is overstocked, commons and commets need at least twenty gallons each, but your fish are beautiful and as long as you keeep the water under control, the fish can be reasonably happy. you should upgrade or trade some of your fish in, they can be stunted which causes damage to their internal organs. also, common plecos shouldn't be kept with goldfish because they tend to be territorial and can actually eat the slime coat off of a goldie.
I did see that, and it's awesome. I want a larger fish tank but am unable currently due to space issues. Plus my house is so old that I image a larger tank would go through the floor, lol! You interested in some S.Eupterus? I have three and need to rehome at least 1, lol!
oh, yeah we origionally put our tank on our bar in the kitchen and noticed that the bar was bending and the water wasnt level so we had to syfel the water out and put it on our coffee table which is solid oak so we dont have to worry about it breaking and spilling all the fish out but what kinda fish is that, can you ship fish in the mail, lol
oh, i dunno, we already god catfish, id have to see a picture, find them on google images and email me the link, because i might have that same fish you have
there are videos of the actual fish on my account, if you go to it. they are alternately called "mystery catfish" as I originally didn't know what they were; I bought them as cory's then freaked out when they grew to 5"
yes, they all get along. the goldfish hang out with each other, the female bettas have their own small groups, the bottom feeders do their thing. the only problem is the common pleco is HUGE and eats carcasses in seconds.
I'm actually about to set up a 15g hex tank to put the pleco, one of the syno's and the pondfish in temporarily, until I can find a cheap, used larger tank or a new home for them. The pleco is currently about 8in, and the only thing I've had die in the tank recently was a juvenile female betta, so it wasn't much of a body for him to clean up, lol
Once I have the tank stock lowered, I intend to get a trio of angels, and a few more female bettas.
The goldfish tails may tempt the betta into nipping and being agressive. As well, goldfish are very wasteful, and dirty a tank quickly(why I want to move mine). Goldfish are coldwater fish, and bettas prefer their water to be much warmer. It can be done, but it would be better for you to get a small(1g+) tank with a heater for a male betta. And remember not to mix males and females together!
they can only be together when they are spawning, and even then you have to be really careful. They will kill each other quickly, brutally, and unpleasantly. Females can go in with other females, and males can go in with other fish, but you cannot mix males with males, nor males with females
well the tank has been restocked, and now contains all the previous stated fish, except the male betta. I have 5 females in there now. they all get along except when someone passes, I don't know for sure because the pleco eats the bodies too fast!
i hope ur planning on getting a 125+ gallon

Whoa then I guess it must be pretty huge so it could eat carcasses in seconds....... Are you planning on adding more fish to your tank????
