You don't have to rasterize the text in order to do that. And you can just right click to image layer and create clipping mask and still move the picture around inside the text to where it looks better.
@mapn2002 Good observation, another approach to this is clicking the alt key and placing the mouse in the middle of the image and text layer; this also created a clipping mask
