god bless you and your family

  • When I was I got my first guitar this is what I wanted to sound like. Hard to believe that was 20 years ago.

  • I worked this concert, he was AMAZING! The theatre is spelled MAHAIWE, and it's pronounced MU-HAY-WEE. He played for the crew after load-out across the street at the Gazebo for about an hour!

  • My best friends dad, was his best friend. I even got to see some rare home videos of him playing for my friend, I only found out about him about five days ago.

    Blows my mind. Period.

enjoy at your own risk guys.

  • @hippo83 PLEASE get them posted :) there are many of us who would love to see these private performances... and I bet Michael would be thrilled to have his intimate settings available for anyone to watch on youtube.

  • Große Kunst!

    -Great art!-

  • Michael Hedges was the best guitar player over the world!

  • Please do not bring the evil of politics into something this pure, people!

  • @OmegasWill this transcends anything to do with opinion... its beautiful in any way you look perceive it. how dare you even slight it with self serving banter for governance.

Obama. Health Care package. War on Terror.

  • haha i love the little smile at 2:55

  • i love how he goes into a trance when playing this amazing tune. awesome

  • i was one year old when he did this =]]

  • 2 years before my birth :)

  • Excellent!

  • i want to learn this, but the technique, like the acoustic tapping is so unfarmiliar to me, i dont want ot start leanring it and end up just failing epicaly (which is wat will proably happen).

  • If you're too concerned about failing, you'll never be able to learn anything new. Go out and branch into new styles and don't be afraid. Ultimately, it will make you a better guitar player.

  • wow he gets lost in this song.

  • Whoa.

Always loved the tune, but this video just blew me away. God, that man was brilliant.

  • i heard him on sound scapes he is sick enough wrote

  • it even sounds cool when he tunes lol

  • So much more than guitar: a vision of liberty. And more than "tapping", though he has spawned a worthy school. Those who seek him should find John Strope's early book of transcriptions, which includes Aerial Boundaries. John was my teacher, one of those who pointed the way to exploring acoustic guitar and its roots. Michael Hedges thought of himself as a tree; I am sure most guitar players understand. I thank Michael Hedges, thank John Stropes -- and you type3secretion!.

  • he still is a great poet in my hearth and this song is a mere poem

  • i am speechless!

  • the best!

  • Brilliant man and music.

  • The living spirit took him back from where he came from

  • always have loved his music

  • Michael was probably my favorite musician. I loved the concerts he gave. Sometimes bad things happen to good people, unfortunately he was one of those people. He will always be in my soul.

  • rest in peace master
