to me this is a novelty set like something u can show off or save for a while and sell it for a higher amount u bought it for....they look to nice to use and to get them dirty ....its like a beautiful work or art
Nice set for anything you need to fix. The blue color is a chrome finish which will last like the silver one and the marking is Laser Etched which makes the very easy to read the size. Good luck with it and have a great day.
@sbakar i just hit a socket hard many times with a metal multitool and didnt even scratch the blue at all....im impressed...so its pretty hard to scratch
@harryfaber metric and standard is all the book said...but ill look closer... I dont know much about tools....just needed a new set and this one was on sale...hopefully i will never have to use ...i hate working on stuff.. thanks much for the view/comment
@hallsy154 Ah! Tinkering has been a lifelong passion for me, old engines, boats, all sorts. And once you get into 'old stuff', you find that you need 'old tools', as the standards change.
And those nice shiny blue tools would end up being ground to odd shapes for particular jobs where standard spanners wont cope. Engineering is fun!
Nice home owner tool set! I've seen some Craftsman tools with the cool colors before, but all my Craftsman tools are the regular chrome color. I like how the size of the sockets in your set are easy to see and read.
Looks like a nice set........at least everything seems to have it's place. No loose parts rolling around. It's nice that they're blue so you won't mix them up with the others.
wardid u get the tool set at? was it at walmart?

How durable does the blue finish seem? Is it painted on, or is it part of the chrome?

Are they metric or Imperial? I find that the tools I use most often are old ones bought singly from boot fares. AF and Whitworth.
I use UNC/NF taps & dies more than metric, and then all the odd sizes, Whit, Cycle, BSP and so on.
