omg we tried this at my gym last night. it gets really hard when there's only 3-4 people left. there's no time to recover, you have to backflip almost right as you land, and repeat. i got so dizzy. lol

Go get your friends to either spot your or be the antagonist (I've found the second one works best) until you do it to shut them up.

Jump up not back, drill that into your brain or you will epically fail every time, I'm betting thats why you didn't land it on a trampoline, either that or your afraid, unless you land in between the metal ring and the trampoline theres really not much you can do to hurt yourself on a trampoline, also if your like 200 pounds your not doing a backflip, its all about knowing what to do while your in the air, how high you can jump, and not being afraid.

Once you've watched enough people do back flips and/or backflip tutorials on youtube and could walk someone through doing a backflip, instead of thinking about the steps before you do it, it tends to work better if you just do it, at least for me it does, thats all I got, get over fear, jump up not back, oh and, throw your arms into it, that parts a little harder to explain so just go watch a how to vid on backflips and see how people throw their arms into the flip.
