I've been looking for a while, but it seems very hard to find a ladies' band from back then... Lack of popular demand or was it just a thing from the Loningisa label?
This song reminds me of them days when i was traveling to Nairobi from Nakuru where i bought a cassette with song. I cried all the way to Nairobi listening to this song SPEAK to me! I still love it. Thanks for posting!
you are right, but thats the way the people may call anybody, starting by the last name instead of the first.like the guy who is playing drum here,is refere to as ceskain molenga, but people sometimes called him molenga ceskain...and diato used to be known as DIALU(dia for diato and lu for lukoki)in the early 80s.
Loved the song, but the dance doesn't seem original to me. A perfectionist like Franco should have fired the choreographer, it is not going with the theme of music, it seems more western PE influenced. Anyone slander & flexible can do it..
You may be right. I know the people I work with couldn't even do the macarena if their lives depended on it. I just think the women are so damn pretty and have hot, hot, hot bodies.

This song was written by DIATHO LUKOKI, the guy in-between Djo mpoyi and Wuta Mayi in the video.

I confirmed your information here, it's true. I must say his name is spelt Lukoki Diato according to the LP.
