I delighted in the movie as well, loved the doll-crafting scene, the other mother persona, and the overall arch. I do dislike the shift in Coraline's parental conflict from an attention issue to an economic/materialistic issue, and Coraline's last-minute chickification via needing to be saved by Wybie rather than trapping the Belldam's hand through her own ingenuity.
Awesome review! I really enjoyed this movie too!

I loved the movie and the book too, when we went to see the movie my parents got so freaked out by it lol.
I think the door was that small because:
1: So the dolls could get through.. or somthing like that
2: So only children could fit through the door.
Or maybe it was just small in the movie because they decided it would be small.
