It depends how you use it offcourse. Firefly has the 17 pounder wich has very long range and good frontal armor penetration. Hellcat is cheaper, faster and can ambush with it's cammo ability. So if you place a m18 on the side of a road and you lure german panzers with for example a m26, the m18 is very effective. Hellcat has medium frontal armor penetration (according to the game)
just think the germens would have one the war if the US and RUSSIA dident save the britsh plus germen tanks suck on the gas part fire power they would not be stop but there only weekness was gas
How did russia and the US save britain in ww2? The germans didn't even make it over to the UK. I do agree however that if germany had taken over all of russia, they might have won the war.
There are many ways thegermens could have won the war but hitler maked some realy bad mistakeone of them was to attack Russia if he dont done that he could have won the war first take out US Britain and all the ohters and then he was done he could take out Russia. If it only was Russia he had been fighting under ww2 he had won!

They use it because it's almost as good as having a Wehrmacht heavy tank. It can easily go toe-to-toe with a Panther and can take more than three hits from a Tiger, as well as dish out more damage to it. Plus, you don't have to produce one, it just appears right on the field so you don't need to wait like you would for a Sherman.
Tiger + Panther or even Mark 4 with Blitz ability enabled = deadly one reason Blitz is truely the Wehrmacht's armored doctrine of choice, 1/3 firing rate increase for short time when Blitz is enabled.
Once with a hard computer player I massed about 20 M1 57mm Anti Tank Guns(I was new to the game then), and guess what I won with them wirtually nothin but artillery strikes could kill them Even infantry had a har time going thru a hail of 57mm rounds, OP's collaps in a matter of seconds, bunkers turned to rubble, tanks blown to bits, and a tiger ace gone in about 12 seconds.
this is possibly the best most fun rts to date, and its historicaly accurate, it was a shame they didnt include the 71 ton tiger mk.2....oh well, it still kicks ass
If you look at WW2 maps you would see how big the game would have to be (well over 50 missions)The german army at the battle of carentan didnt get past the 501st and 506th at the battle of bloody gulch which this game did not show... COH only shows very small portions of actual ww2 history it just skims it barely.
lol 2 German tanks with infantry support, mob of allied tanks including two Pershings with rocket support and the Germans won.... then wave two was even worse... lol Got to love German armor those rockets did jack crap against them on wave two.
I eventually won since this was part of a test to see how many waves of Allied War Machine it would take to finally beat this axis force. However like I said in the description the kill ratio was 4-1 in favor of the Axis. Lost 95 Allied tanks in total, thats ALOT of tanks. So this was just a small sample of the amount of tanks that died in this 2 hour long battle.
bear in mind, its just messing around. But yes, no armor commander in his right mind would ever do that. Unless he was attempting an M10 rush, but even then against a prepared Axis force that is questionable.
Bear in mind, this isn't a serious match :-p this was just us messing around. Of course I wouldn't send just the tanks without help, but at the time we just wanted to see how many tanks I would go through before I wore out his defense.
Enzo, I think thats highly debateble, If AWM wasn't there the game would end in an Axis Win Every Single Time, No doubt about it, I've played since the Beta and the Axis Armor simply Has no Match form the Allied side, If you aren't noob you'd know to simply cut off the Munitions supply, No Munitions...No Armor, simple.
And the lesson of the story? Never try battling Axis heavy armor in late game with your own armor except when you use Allied War Machine. The Panthers and Tigers are going to slaughter your poor Shermans and Pershings.
