The 38th parallel between the JSA is actually a 17 by 5 inch concrete slab. The ROK MP's stand on the ends of the building and not next to KPA. It's obviously fake but the UNC buildings look incredibly accurate.

@SpamZoid I'm not 100% sure but most likely they used the set of a South Korean movie that was filmed about border guards on both sides in early 2000. It was called Joint Security Area starring the guy who played Storm Shadow in G.I. Joe. I remember they spent a lot of time and detail to build the sets as accurate as possible, but didn't know that it still stood.

@IslandVeeDub Technically, I hear 3 songs being mixed together. It starts with the accapella of 'The Beat Goes On' by Orbit, and then it kicks into 2 songs at the same time. The bassline from 'I'm Ready' by Kano and the beat from 'Planet Rock' by Afrika Bambaataa & Soulsonic Force.

Not 95 South. Tag Team sampled the 'I'm Ready" bassline in 'Whoomp! There it Is" and 95 South did a song called "Whoot! There it Is". That's probably the confusion.

@bboystream3 This is not the actual border line. In the South they have tiny rocks for the ground and in the north it's just ground. Plus the line between the 38th parrallel is made of concrete and it's not yellow. So you can tell the place is fake. the building from the north korean side has another story so it's basically 3 or 4 stories long.

yeah, that's definitely not the real DMZ, most important giveaway is the dividing line: in reality it's not painted or round. Also, the grate doesn't run down the center, it is actually two grates which are on both sides. South Korean guards are usually stationed so that half of their body is concealed by the wall of the blue buildings, facing the North side

that depends on a number of factors. If they were defecting the south would try to recieve them and it could potentially start a fire fight across borders. In the past south korean soldiers have been killed trying to secure the reception of a border crosser. If a north korean crossed armed to try and retreive a defector they could be shot on sight. If they crossed armed and appear lost or just to be testing the limits more than likely they would be observed and only engaged if necesary
