  • yeah usefull thanks.

  • nice video man.

that just made me stop. and think.

  • good advice , thanks.

  • Neat. Not what I was really expecting when clicking to watch this video, but interesting. Also, thank you.

  • First, i was like "AH, oh, it's a black guy with a white guy's voice", then i was like "AH, oh, it's an indian guy".

  • Hey thanks. i'm trying to teach my six year old to tie and this works!

  • I like this!

  • found it on accident love it. made me cry, laugh, and inspire!

  • Interesting... the narrator sounds like he's Australian AND Irish...

  • cool video, thanks!

  • i think most of you are taking what he said the wrong way, most people think" what would 60 year old shoe shine man know that would help me" and the lesson is this, you find wisdom in the most unlikely places. the secondary point is that he learned something from some one most people would take a look at and say yea that man is shining shoes, he must not know much..... but that shoe shine man knows more than most would think.

  • wtf is shit shit

  • Well, yeah. You stopped to have some ugly, chinese-made, square toe, rubber-sole throw-away "dress" shoes shined. He probably thought, "This guy doesn't know shit about shit. Hell, he probably doesn't even know how to tie his fucking shoes!"

    So he taught you how.

  • @ibtarnine

    Truth man, truth.

  • Found this video on accident. Love it.

  • This is great!

  • Bullshit. Total BULLSHIT. if I double knot my shoe but what happens when I want to take the shoe off? The way I tie my shoe it stays tight all day and at the end of the day I pull the lace and it opens up, no problem.

  • very interesting

  • who cares

  • dude did you listen to the whole thing. The whole point was that wisdom is everywhere you just have to look!

  • "I mean, let's face it what would a 'shoe shine guy' know that would be useful for ME!" Deep, man. Really human. Now if only you could learn to stop looking down on people who are performing services for you. Or maybe just learn to shine your own shoes, prick.

  • Just goes to show what kind of knowledge is out there if you're willing to find it or let it find you

    '

  • I wouldn't use 2 loops, 3 to 4 loops should be the minimum before moving on the the bow.

  • wow thats kinda deep

  • Comment removed

  • A double loop has been second nature to me for most of my life. And I tie the ends of the laces as well. I never have to re-tie ever.

  • That was total Zen..excellent, Man!

  • Is the beginning tune part of a song?

  • its a small step that makes a big diffrence

  • Nice Dude! Good thing to add to my knowledge.

  • nice tip

    thanks man

but i think u over did the dramatic face ;)

  • Just tried that, nice little tip

  • too bad my shoes dont have laces LOL

  • Oh yeah. "Let's face it, what would a shoe shine guy really know that would be useful to me?" I'm sure if you stopped being so arrogant a 60 year old man would have plenty to teach you.

  • i learn to do this for soccer cleats

  • Excellent info. Thx for sharing...

  • 2 or 3 years, hes gotta be like 50 only learned to tie his shoes recently! LOL

  • not litterally.

  • wow, i thought this was a waist of time until the last part...

The word of the day is : reflect

  • "Look for knowledge wherever you find it"? Once you've found it, you can't look for it anymore.

    Nitpicking aside, great tip!

  • I watched this video earlier and yes I am always open to this type of simple wisdom.

    I love it!!

  • lol

  • wtf

  • wow this will help me alot for my boots lol

  • wow....very wisdomy.......

  • the music was great scared the crap out of me though

  • My respect for youtube is gone now ....thankyou
