Origionaly a mod for Unreal tournament 2004 Steam quickley picked up the team responsible and squeezed money out of them :D

Wow Team 17 and the Amiga. Those were the days, they really were. So is this from Andreas Tadic, Rico Holmes and Allister Brimble then? Are they still even writing games these days? If so, they must be like the Spielberg,George Lucas and John Williams of the gaming world.

Oh yeah, and the cut scenes are this crappy comic with voice overs. You would be better just not putting cut scenes in at all if you didn't have the cash to make proper ones. All this says to people is that you didn't budget for cut scenes and had to throw something together as an add on. It really is a let down this game, just because it could have been so good.

The menu system and map system just defies logic. You spend ages wandering around going back on yourself, and this stupid radar doesnt tell you anything. Team 17 need to understand that games have moved on. People just want games dripping with action. Alien Swarm achieves this, but Alien Breed does not. Take the controls, level upgrade system and co-op of Alien Swarm and put it into this, and you would have a top game. Sadly 'tis not so.

I got this game. I have to say that it really is a complete let down. Team 17 made great games back when I had an Amiga, but sadly it seems they haven't moved on. The graphics are great and its a real shame this could have been excellent. But the entire game is basically about opening doors. That's it. Find the key card. Deactivate this and that. Its BORING. The camera angles are terrible. Alien Swarm is everything this game was supposed to be.

Ahh, i miss the good 'ol days playing 'Alien Breed: Tower Assault' on the Amiga. At the time, it was the (unrelated) 'Alien Trilogy' that got me into the Alien Breed games. This game looks awesome, but the fact they no longer resemble xenomorph in game (yes, i know they never did in game art and menus) is a shame. Was it copyright concerns that preompted the redesign? Still can't wait to play this :)

@PimpUigi Yeah we have a laser gun which bounces off walls and an ion spike, which is a bit like a rail gun. Plus when you upgrade your weapons they look really cool with extra particle effects.

A friend bought the two-pack yesterday and this game is amazing. I'm wondering though, every few seconds with Post Processing turned on in the options there would be a half-second long stutter, I changed the configs manually and hardly changed anything but now I'm getting the performance of not having PP on. Have you guys looked into having a full set of graphics options in-game?

IS the demo still working on steam? Ive downloaded it - Went to play game - And it just keeps automatically going to the "store" and playing the Alien breed video....

just tried the demo on steam, i loved it. but I have 1 question about Coop mode.

Is it full story coop, or just few missions made for 2 players coop, like in splinter cell conviction?

@Wazgrel Co-op is not the full story, but specially designed and balanced levels, makes for a very frantic experience, one where you definitely have to work together.

@Mastik7 If you are good enough and if you work as a team and you don't fail the levels, each co-op level will take about half an hour and then you will want to make sure you are top of the leaderboard and you will want to get your co-op achievements, so yes we think it's long enough. :)
