Ok I have sony vegas platinum for a movie maker so now I want to know witch is better for effects. Should i get effects lab and vision lab or should I upgrade to sony vegas pro 9? please respond.

Effects lab is more powerful but more difficult. Vision lab is very user friendly but not as powerful.

For the lightsabre sounds... just search in youtube light saber effects... and then on some videos on the right they will have links for u to down load the sounds. (Coz thats how i got them)

Dont know if you bought the program, but you can get the neon strobes to follow the real-life sabers in the newest version of the software. called auto-rotoscoping i believe

some one should comeup with a object tracker that allows you to set an objects path then have the program identify its absolute path and light the object up as a lightsaber, or anyt5hing you want... like make a ball into a a sun. all you ave to do is out line the realitive path that the object moves... it make it alot easyer then frame by frameing it.

they actually have that already, its called motion-tracking and can be done with several higher end programs (like adobe after effects)

the problem is that there has to be a high color contrast to track the vid needs to be good quality

I just got VisionLab... but it takes too long to do the light saber videos... But I don't want to do that anyway... The stuff I actually want to do is well worth the time and effort, because the end result is awesome!!!
