  • 9 people aren't out there on the streets, with the kids, shooting up on love

  • american version is way better

  • @jaydoggy98 You must be American.

  • @jaydoggy98 Both have their charms. I credit this show with teaching me British terminology to the point that if I ever go there, I'll at least be able to understand SOME of what's said to me.

That being said, some of the EARLY British shows are hard to watch.

  • @jaydoggy98 You gotta be kidding.

  • Man... Ryan got a very terrible role to play in this game. The only real comedica avenues for him were fart jokes lol. Im not saying it wasnt funny. But he really needed a suggestion with more flexibility to play with. :3

Stephen Fry really stole the show in this game though :D

  • my two favourites are ryan stiles and colin mocherie

  • who the hell is stephen fry?

  • @MsGnr4life An Englishman. Good friends and sometime comical partner to Hugh Laurie.

  • My two favorite people of all time sitting next to each other: Colin Mochrie and Stephen Fry

  • I love both versions of Whose Line. they have there own charm.

  • Brilliant! This episode was what started my love affair with Stephen Fry. I used to adore watching the UK episodes on Comedy Central back in the 90s. I love Ryan and Colin (and Josie!) too, but Stephen is just so amazing that he has his own magnetic force or something. If you were to look up "wit" or "talent" you would read, "definition: see Stephen Fry"

The way his mind works makes me all kinds of tingly. /fangirl

  • look at Stephen as you repeatedly press 5

  • Stephen Fry, Colin Mochrie, and Ryan Stiles in the same room. Words cannot describe the awesomeness.

  • Colin going blind from ryan passing gas made me laugh hard as hell! :D

Colin is a genius. and stephens vicar is funny as hell too! haha

  • Stephen is so ADORABLE!!! <3 <3

  • Oh, my heavens. Colin Mochrie, Ryan Stiles, and Stephen Fry on a stage together. Pretty much the ultimate, eh? (And, Josie's quite cool in her own right.)

  • who the hell is Trendy Vicar?if that is a person

  • @zeldafan900 A trendy vicar, trendy being an adjective for vicar

  • @zeldafan900

a vicar (a type of priest in both the catholic and anglican church) trying to be "trendy"/cool (or rather what he thinks is trendy). Stephen Fry has on several occasions professed a deep revulsion at what he calls the "a kind of sharing-theology".

  • this is like a dryed up version of WLIIAUSA. Colin and Ryan are in a league of there own

  • Ryan+Colin+Stephen

    <3

  • Stephen's in a class of his own; remarkable talent.

  • Those of you unfamiliar with Fry might be pleased to know that one of his latest gigs was the voice for the Cheshire Cat in Tim Burton's Alice.

  • Stephen Fry in my Whose Line?? Apparently more likely than I thought, and it's awesome!

  • Wow ... Im american so Stephen is new to me .... But he was on bones! =D

  • @Scythe644 OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I was looking at him going "where have I seen him before?" And you just jogged my memory! Thank you!

  • @123wickedsweet Your welcome.

  • @eonurae He could very well be. Mochrie dinosaur for ever!

  • Luv Stephen Fry Acting out "Trendy Vicar" to Josie PERFECTLY

  • US vs UK?

  • @raxaxaganaz

    Both are great.

  • Stephen Fry was awesome on Whose Line, and he continues to be awesome on QI (Short for Quite Interesting)

  • I pass stronger urine samples than that... ouf.

  • Stephen Fry is hilarious XD

  • I love Josie!

  • i like drew carey as a host better

  • If they were just themselves, I'd choose Stephen. I'm not the sex he likes, and he isn't the sex I like, but he seems damned interesting to talk to.

  • No one in the British audience laughs at "hates everything English" :P

  • That's way funnier than the german version!!! Love Stephen Fry

  • "but he shots up with love" lol :D *tilts head sideways* "yeppp yeeep yepp yeep" hahaha

  • colins freaking hilarious !

    what the hell is that!

    everything is so old here!

    i need one right now!

  • "Question number 2: What book are you reading at the moment" How could this be funny?

  • I cant stand the UK series of this show. Love the show but i never laugh as hard as the originals

  • uk version is the original

  • But the this *is* the original series. Drew Carey saw it, loved it, and pitched the US version.

  • the originals are the uk version

  • it's just different humor. And this version came first, so it didn't have time to get as crazy as the US version.

  • 2:28 That's all I have to say

  • Hooray for Stephen Fry. 8D

  • steven fry was overly religious?

  • Notice how no one laughed when Colin's trait first came up.

  • i laughed VERY HARD that was hilarious

  • haha

    really good:)

    stephen fry is awesome:)

  • "In many ways he's a bit like a gangsta rapper..."

    LOL

  • I love you Stephen!!!!!!!!!

  • "It's a book about a friend of mine . . . and I think he could be a good friend of yours, too . . ."

    Lol, Stephen rocks.

  • yep? Yep? YEP!?

God, I love Stephen Fry. XD

  • "Dick" :D

  • A kind of sharing outreach. :D

  • GO STEVEN FRY!!!!! XD

  • Well, in this episode only features one original: Josie Lawrence. Of course, count Stephen Fry if you include the radio series (but the humour in that is quite different).

  • Originals? This UK show IS the original show - the same UK show that gave Ryan and Colin their big break in showbiz . Do your research before making any more dumb comments.

  • does anybody else find it ironic that stephen fry plays the vicar, and well

  • Questions in the English version were: 'what would you invent' and 'what have you read'. Europeans (and Brits, for the matter) really are intelectual!

  • Honestly, is there anything Stephen can't do? I believed no one can do everything, but I believe he's someone who can!

  • Hahaha!! I love Stephen Fry!! ;)

  • LOL he shoots up with love....yeaaah yeaaah yeaaaah

  • "GOD! Everything is so OLD here!" XD

  • "Yup, yep, yup, YEP!"

  • Whats a vicar?

  • A British priest, of sorts.

  • like a priest

  • Probably the best portrayal of a trendy vicar Ive ever seen. Another success SF!

  • what is SF?

  • Stephen Fry, as in his initials

  • Stephen Fry.. is that the guy from V for Vendetta? The good guy who helps the girl out? not V, but for a while we think hes V. I think hes the tv host dude.. anyone?

  • Yes.

  • He is a comedian that's been around for ages, and currently he hosts Qi on BBC1 =]

  • that guy on the tv.. isn't that a bad guy? the guy that keeps saying "and england prevails!" or w/e?

  • Yes, that's John Hurt, aka Adam Sutler.

However, Stephen plays a TV-show host.

  • lol only specal ppl know him as adam sutler :D

  • that wasn't the character he played in the movie :)

  • hence the 'special' ppl :)

  • Stephen owns every fucking clip he's in.

  • Stephen Fry owns in this clip, brilliant

  • "history comin' out your ass!" classic!

  • Stephens vicar is absolutly perfect.

  • I'm not English so I don't know who the hell he was impersonating but in our country we call that Alec Baldwin or overacting. But Stephen Fry is soooooo funny. Did you ever see him perform with Hugh Laurie or as we in America know him as Dr. House?

  • Yes, 'A bit of fry and laurie' is one of my alltime favorates. And i'm sorry, but that was not overacting. The characature he was portraying was bang on. however if you didn't know what the characature was then i understand your view.

  • Stephen is very funny!! I'm an American and I don't know who Trendy Vicar is but Stephen cracks me up and I said Vicar remindds me of Alec Baldwin!!

  • Fair enough. A 'Trendy Vicar' is a priest who is trying to be 'hip' and 'cool' and 'groovy'. the thing is that they almost always fail. for instance, when stephen talks about his book, he is refering to the bible. and I'm sure you can guess who his 'friend' is. I'm sure their must be an equivelent in american culture. I hope that explains it for you.

  • That answers so many questions. Thank you very much. Stephen Fry is very funny!! He has that preppy look that work for a Trendy Vicar. I'm surprised he never apeared on Fraiser. You ever see Fraiser?

  • I absolutly adore fraiser. David Hyde Pierce is inconsevably funny as niles, especialy concidering that he plays a character so different from himself. Its a pitty they dont make it any more.

  • David is a wonderful actor and he spent 11 wonderful years on that show. But his love is the theater. In fact all the cast was theater actors in New York.

  • I know, David was brilliant as sir robin in spamalot, and I love theatre actors. It is my ambition to join their ranks one day.

  • I thought Vicars were Vicars in America too O.o

  • LMAO at Stephen at 2.28!!! "yeah, yeah, YEAH!!" XD

  • reminded me of something out of family guy for some reason...lol

    I <3 Stephen

  • YES! That's exaclt wot i was thinking! It's like when Stewie says "so ehh.... how u coming along with that novel then huh?...u got eh....u got a key protagonist hmm? Some ehh friends become enemies some enemies become friends yea?...(voice getting increasingly high pitched)" LOL XD Love both Whose Line and Family Guy! :D

  • trendy isnt camp. in the uk, trendy means to be cool (or try to be). thats why stephen referes to jesus as a gansta rapper - lol

  • Ryan made me laugh, again.

  • pause at 3:03 - lol

  • I wish I could rate this more than five stars! I'll just come back and rate it again and again.

This is the funniest WLIIA clip I've ever seen!

    Thanks!

  • If only Stephen was...

  • straight?

  • trendy vicar

    lmao

  • Trendy vicar = camp vicars

  • what's a vicor?

  • someone who does religious services mostly in the protestant religion...

  • YAP YAP YAP!!!

OHMIGOSH that was the funniest thing in this vid.

  • It must have been hard for Colin to hate everything English without being offensive to anyone and still be funny. Kudos to him. :3

  • ...what the hell is a vicar?

  • It's what the minister is called in the Anglican Church.

  • He shoots up with love (Y)

  • "YAP YAP YAP!"

    Stephen <3

  • the uk is a match for the us version

  • which one came first?

  • UK did

  • UK came in 1988, the US in 1998

  • Wow, really? I didn't know the show was that old.

  • Stephen's trendy vicar is awesome!!

  • Stephen is so funny here! And in my experience he has the character spot on! No offence meant to anybody

  • you're so right!! it's spot on!

  • Help, please! I found a great LMAD I can't now relocate. Anyone seen it:

    Josie as Bachelorette

Greg as various characters in "A Streetcar Named Desire"

Colin with an amazing sense of smell

    Ryan as horny Frankenstein's Monster

I believe it's in the transition where the show was moved to the US but Clive was still hosting.

Anyone have a link? I'll find a way to repay you!

  • I have it in my favourites near the front. Its from series 9 when the show was still being shot in England. Series 10 was shot in America to celebrate the show reaching its

    10th series.

  • Oh, brilliant! Thank you so much! You have an awesome collection!

  • Hehe! Thank you! The one you are looking for is on the first page. :) Enjoy!

  • I know who Josie wants to go out with. *cough* Ryan!*cough*

  • omg Colin's is so funny!

'coffee now there's a drink. COFFEE! I NEED ONE RIGHT NOW!'

  • I LOVE RYYYAAANNNNNNNN!!! Stephen Fry and Colin Mochrie rule too!!

  • trendy viacar yaahh

    dick call me dick lol

    =]

  • Fry... pure genius.

  • Stephen Fry is excellent at playing religious figures...even in Fry and Laurie

  • Yeah, I loved his bishop... though not in a sexual way...

  • why is it that Stephen Fry in this reminds me of tony blair??? lol

  • Stephen's trendy vicar rules!!

    P.S. It' aluminium ;)

  • The picture on my computer froze at 2:52...LOL, Colin's face!

  • Im sorry but i think ryan is so much cooler than stephen.

    I do love QI though

  • STEPHEN FRY SEX GOD!

lol sry i have an impossible crush on him.

    haha

  • me too!!!!

  • OMG! me toooooo!

  • me threeee!

    YAP YAP YAP! <3

  • The trendy vicar is perfection.

  • i love ryans look at 3.06!

    lol

  • "He's a bit like a gangster rapster"

Haha, Jesus like a gangster rapster.

    I love Stepehen Fry xD

  • I wish Stephen was MY vicar ;-)

  • stephen fry is great at playing religious figures...

  • Stephen Fry makes a good vicar- I should know my Dad is one lol.

  • i now have a craving for curry at 3 in the morning

  • Hey, What's The Whole Aluminium Thing About? lol

  • the english say it different to the americans.

    its weird. lol.

  • What the hell is Colin referencing with his hate of the English with "Doggy Detectives"?"

    Anybody?

  • Isn't it a book, i can't remember the exact name but i think it might be Hound of the Baskervilles or something

    XD Not sure though

  • He could be saying "doddery detectives" - like Miss Marple in the Agatha Christie books.

  • You're right Easytigerbeth. The Americans and Canadians do have 'aluminium', but they pronounce it "a-loo-mi-num".

  • We also spell it differently. We spell it "aluminum."

  • Oh, yeah. Sorry about that.

  • I can't believe Josie didn't get Colin's. I watched with my hand over the bottom so I could guess and I got it straight away when he complained about "aluminium." I'm American though so maybe that pronunciation is more noticeable to me.

    Anyway her questions were awesome.

  • Whose bottom did you have your hand over?

  • I guess if you put it that way I had my hand over their crotches.

  • Well, that's enough scurrilous revelations on YouTube for one video!
