I played a summer with CMH. I got to see first hand how he could dominate a game against way better competition than he saw and Pembroke. Jaron was a beast. That is all.
Thanks for posting this. I remember watching JaRon play ball from the time he was a freshman. Definitely the best player ever from KC and in the class of '98. Crazy watching him in the state games just stand there until they needed him. Seemed so effortless for him to score 30+ points a game. Just amazing!
I mean, shit Kareem is an N.B.A player and he just looks so pedestrian while he is on the court with JaRon. Rush must have had to have been showing up pretty drunk not to be dominating practices in the N.B.A
Jaron Rush is the best basketball player ever not to make the N.B.A. because In terms of ability the kid really had it All, 30 seconds of watching him is enough to leave most basketball fans speechless(he should have been a Hall of Famer), He was just so smooth on the court, I know some scouts were quick to knock his ball handling or outside shooting abilities, but that was just an invention for what they knew he lacked in off the court discipline and decision making abilities.
The reason the Rush story is such a shame is this, It wasn't like he was a Ronnie Fields who needed to work on his jump shot, or that he was this undersized forward who couldn't play another position, it was that he made all of the worst possible decisions during his brief career. I mean as far as I know his failures never even had anything to due with injuries! He just loved his fire water I guess?!
If only Rush would have went to a place like Kansas and played for a coach like Roy Williams who knew how to handle and mentor his players. Such a shame that he never came close to fulfilling his potential because I would be willing to bet that he probably had more natural ability than even a Kobe Bryant.
JaRon was alot more than raw coal, He was and still is the best high school basketball player the Kansas City area has ever seen.... 3 time DiRenna Award winner, and should've won it His freshman year as well... It's just too bad the wrong people got in His head... I still think the best thing that could've happened to Him would've been Roy Williams...
JaRon was raw coal, only needing some pressure to become a diamond. To bad that pressure broke him, he was the real TRUTH. I was there, seen it with my own eyes. Kareem is a pure shooter no more. Brandon well...........we just have to wait and see, now dont we. KCMO's FINEST

@Mantooth690243 Probably couldve been Brandon Rush but he couldnt keep his act together and played in a system that was too flashy in Westport

The dunk at 3:48 is ridiculous. Where's the rest of this tape, like the part with Roy Williams in the stands in Philips?

where is the video of Jamar Howard putting his nuts in Kareem's mouth on a break away???
