they're converting this 37 by rebuilding the body and mounting it on class 20 bogies. not a new build par se, more a rebuild, but we'll end up with a different loco nonetheless.

I am (and always have been) a closet trainspotter. I'd love to know where to go with my cameras to capture stuff like this happening and have a chat with the guys who keep these things moving - before they all disappear to be replaced with the modern, souless machinery that's almost completely taken over.

Slightly off topic. but you nearly had a "£250 clip" of the gentleman negotiating the hill in the foreground!

are they goin to build a new class 23 then, cos I think they should leave it in the loco and renumber it 37907

i think they are using a 37 shell remoddleing it and putting the engine in it
