WeirtonToday com reported that J.J. Abrams paid the city of Weirton a HUGE amount of money for the WEEKS and WEEKS of filming they allowed him to do there. I don't remember how much, but it was OVER $1 MILLION.
NOBODY HAS QUESTIONED city officials about where that money went. Meanwhile, WeirtonToday com also reported that Mayor Mark Harris suggested the city look at raising fees to generate more revenue for road upkeep. City leaders lined THEIR pockets, and the city is STILL falling apart.
