on 988 you can just show up...the whole rsvp ticketing thing is for the friday party, discounted science centre admission, etc. on Saturday you can just show up...hang out meet people...it'll be great

What the difference between the welcome party, and the main meet up? Whats the point of the welcome?

the event draws its name from 888 but that is actually a friday. so we are having an evening party that day. most youtube meetups are midday gatherings outdoors in public places. our afternoon gathering will be on the saturday. lots of people are coming from out of town. those from out of town love more than one chance to gather...so we are having a party and a meetup.

we were talking about 1000 for planning purposes...but this is not official. RSVPs are at about 270 so far...so do get your friends to commit...in case interest picks up closer to the event and the ticket situation is tight.

yes. you can get a GO bus to Union Station and TTC it from there.

the main meetup area is outside. there will be some tented areas also. there is access to the building...we are thinking about an indoor lounge area maybe computers for uploading. there will be access to washrooms and you can buy food and drinks. you can also tour the science centre with your free pass.
