  • So beautiful 00:57

  • omg i thought they were already flying in the begining lol :S even though the title....

  • This Sound ahhhhhhh I swear its sooooo great, musik for meee i love it !

  • great!

  • now thats a skilled takeoff :D

  • i could sleep to this sound

  • 622 Hz, then at 1:45 down to 588Hz. Cool, you could tune an instrument to that sawtooth hum.

  • 2010 Winter! Same in Sweden!

  • @JonteKrok Weird, isn't it? But then, Sweden is just 20 km away from Kastrup :)

  • @sm0rgm Haha, well i meant we had a hell of a winter... =) And i'm 600km from Kastrup! :P

  • @sm0rgm Hello from Norway :] Never expected this kind of sound tho.

  • @JonteKrok you swedish?

  • i was there in december 2010.. the snow was crazy.. we had to stay in the radisson hotel like 2 minutes walk from the airport and we couldn't get there :P

  • just hope this thing has enough deice

  • This is a great video... Well done...

  • Why are both the top comments people replying to a genious comment, whereas the genious comment has no votes?

  • Pratt Whitney or Rolls Royce engines...

  • My favourite parts of flying are take-of and landing.....the rest is jsut boring..until there's turbulence and its exciting again....uhm, as long as we all come out alive and well that is...

  • Wasnt aware that a 737 made these engine noises it sounds like my lawn mower and thats 2 stroke.

  • Lol can't tell if it's FSX or real lol

  • @soshowcanihelp really? lol

  • I love the sound of a boeing 737 engine.

  • i remember the one who recorded this.. i was sitting 4 or 5 rows behind. i can remember someone recording out the window ;) and i did enjoy the sound from the engines :P

  • This looks like normal winter weather in Chicago. The pilot did a geat job.Want bad snow.Calgary in the middle of January has my vote.

  • e de en Rolls Royce?

    Is it a Rolls Royce?

  • @Torvikholm no, it's a CFM 56B27

  • det norske fyet fra norge og en nydelig take off

  • what a beautifull take off

  • Sound fot my ears !!!!!

  • What hour was it ?

  • that is a very distinct engine noise...the airbus A320

  • @pundit116 That isnt a Airbus A320... but a 737-800 from Norwegian Air Shuttle... Norwegian Air Shuttle dont operate any Airbus aircrafts yet.. they will be.. A320neo enter service for Norwegian Air Shuttle in 2015 :D

  • music to my ears :P

  • What a beautiful sound...

  • That plane is noisey

  • I love that sound.

  • i would love to be on an aircraft in them conditions the engine spool is amazing!! :D shame we dont have weather like this in britain takeoffs and landings would be interesting

  • @gregster295 Be careful what you wish for mate, Scotland was in pretty bad shape from the snow last year...

  • it's sound of CFM engines .. :) love it ...

  • Te plane sounds like a moped

  • Why did the pilot throttle back quite so soon after take off?

  • @ilovyousob The 737 has far more thrust than needed (more so for lighter short-haul runs). Keeping it full can cause damage to the engines long term and would result in a steep climb!

  • @teka2493 Thank you

  • @ilovyousob It is called Thrust reduction, and is a transition from takeoff thrust to climb thrust...

  • @ollo1982 Okay, thanks, what's a full power take off used for?

  • @ilovyousob Thats mostly used for A heavy loaded plane on a short runway, emergencies, and go arounds:D Very rarely you see a plane taking off at maximum engine power..

  • What an awesome video! Lovely colors in high definition!

  • really cool =)

  • shit is dope

  • it sounds like boeing

  • GOD I FUCKIN LOVE THE SOUND OF DEM ENGINES

  • Shit!!!

  • Cant get much better sound then that!!!

  • Taking off in the blizzard?

  • Amazing!!!

  • I think i was on that plane

  • @324Thedude Cool! According to my notes it was flight DY3212 on 27 jan 2010 departing 15.45. Does that sound familiar?

  • @sm0rgm acctualy it does.........Sweet

  • @sm0rgm Yes! i was on that plane! :D

  • @FlyingKitty900 me too!! WOW! it isnt possible that we all three were on that flight!! OMG?! I saw the info above: (DY3212 on 27 jan 2010 departing 15.45) and checked mine, it was the same!!

  • @airplanesimen Amazing! im not sure but i thnk i saw you

  • Nice vido tho, thx.

  • What's that horrible sound, looks like a turbine is about to explode or something.

  • @saultube44 It's a common sound from the engines on this type of aircraft. The first time I heard it I was a bit worried. :)

  • @sm0rgm Right I was afraid too when I heard it the first time.

  • @sm0rgm that's CFM power!

  • @sm0rgm Yeah, it's the sound generated by the blades of the engine. You don't hear the growl from behind the front of the cowling as that blankets the sound (higher frequency sound hence dominated by the lower rumbling)

It's the same general type of sound as that of a turboprop and can be hear towards the front of any jet (but it's more dominating closer to the engine as you were)

  • @sm0rgm Best. Sound. Ever.

  • @saultube44

All CFM-56 engines (A320s, 737s, and A340-2/300s) sound like that. You think that is loud, try getting on a PW-powered A330 with PW4168s. THAT would be loud ;-)

  • @EmadIV Well that would be bad too, why can they make some sort of sound killer like in silent cars? or use the hige sound energy to give even more propulsion or something, or maybe is entropic energy that should be avoided for even more efficient engines, just my opinion.

  • @saultube44 Progress is being made. Boeing just delivered its first 787. If you look carefully at the 787's engines, you will notice some saw-shaped 'teeth' at the end of the cowl. These are noise-reducing chevrons. Airbus' A380's engines are already near-silent without these. In not too long, all aircraft will be quiet. Noisy 777s replaced by the A350, noisy A330s replaced by the 787, noisy 747s replaced by the -8, noisy 737s replaced by the -MAX series, and noisy A320s replaced by the A320neo.

  • @EmadIV I have to admit, I think it's ridiculous how everyone is so crazy about quiet aircraft - whatever happened to the enthusiasm of a B727 flying overhead?

  • @saultube44 the sound is beautiful!

  • @Kaipeternicolas yesh, right...

  • @saultube44 It is a beautiful sound. And anyway, that grinding sound is unavoidable, it's actually caused by the blades breaking the sound barrier.

  • @blueb0g ummm this plane doesnt break the soundbarrier..

  • @Opiuth Of course not, but the blades in the engines do.

  • @blueb0g ah true...

  • @blueb0g the background turbine sound is beautiful the constant "roaring" sound is not for me AT ALL. looks like something is vibrating lose there, annoying as hell.

  • @saultube44 horrible?? its beautiful..just like the 777's

    cheers

  • @saultube44 That buzz saw sound you're hearing is caused by the blades spinning faster than the speed of sound.

  • @enigma800 Interesting but annoying for me. I think we should take advantage of the sonic energy somehow instead of letting it out against the propulsion direction; if we redirect it in the opposite direction we would have extra impulse and wouldn't be as annoying I think.

  • @saultube44 horrible ! ? is music to my ears

  • @Mrmartinnico lucky you

  • @saultube44 Oh, then listen to the a340, thats realy bad:P

  • @saultube44 lol the engine spool up sounds amazing! nothing to worry about

  • @saultube44 Lol... that is the CFM International CFM56-7 series.. those engines make those kinda sounds... its also this sounds the airbus a320 family with the CFM International CFM56-5 series give you.. the 757 have this kinda sound, and also you can actually hear it on the GE90 engine from inside the 777 after lift off... ofcourse a bit deeper :D the sound is also there on 747.. Totally normal and beautiful sounds :D

  • @ollo1982 Well that engine needs a sound modifier, it sounds like a scooter!

  • @saultube44 dude you are awesome!! thats one of the best sound comparing i have ever read!! LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @ollo1982 thx? :D

  • @saultube44 you comparing the 737 engine sound to a scooter sound,is one of the best comparings i have ever heard! You are awesome! :D

  • @ollo1982 Thx mate, you too, I like your sense of humor :D

  • where's that loud noise coming from?

  • @nightspotlight maybe from the CFM-56.

  • press 666, 777, 888 , 999 for a epic remix

  • @aquavidsful

    LOL!

  • the engines sounded like they were running full speed and didnt move for a minute but then it speed up louder and blasted off, nice vid!

  • im sorry but that´s not a snow storm. Visit Iceland during a normal winter day

  • @loftleidir001 Sorry to inform you but Iceland has no snowstorms at all. Visit the south pole during winter season. That is a snow storm. What kind of thing is this to argue about? :)

  • @sm0rgm visit Iceland even in may there IS snow and snow storms

  • @loftleidir001 I'm from Iceland and there are very rarely snow storms here in May. The last snow fall here was in February (or March, I don't remember which) and it has yet to fall after that. Last year it first falled in November. I'm talking about Reykjavik, the Vestfjords and Northern Iceland are different.

  • @sm0rgm omg shut up.

  • @sm0rgm I'm from Iceland and it has snowstorms. But that is definitely a snow storm in your video!

  • @SRQKEF Thanks for the support :) My, a bit ironic comment, was caused by I thought it was a silly thing to argue about. It all depends on what is normal for where you live. Two snow flakes crossing will be considered snowstorm in southern parts of europe because they see less snow and that is alright. :)

  • yea baby

  • The sound of the compressors is amazing!!!

  • brave pilot, that looked rough!!

  • Jimminy...this guy floored it, engaged and in about 25 seconds was airborne. Oh how I would have loved to have been on this flight....

  • Nice..the lights from the plane

  • wahts taht sound ?

  • @DJmixesbv He pushed his camera to the wall and the wall vibrates.

  • @DJmixesbv That sound would be the growl of two CFM-56B engines at full thrust. The sound of power!

  • @sm0rgm Where were you headed?

  • @TeanoZ Stockholm-Arlanda

  • love the sound of those engines ^^ Make me horny lol

  • @KosukiFire We obviously have different things that turns us on :D

  • @sm0rgm Dang it...LOL

  • When I watch stuff like this I just ask myself why did I stop flying.

  • Wow!

  • Whats the extra noise I can hear that kicks in at 0:55 ?

  • @crocodile2006 Turbofans tend to make that noise at higher power settings, but I actually don't know why. The sound it self might be causing some resonating in perhaps a loose interior panel or something that makes it extra loud. /The almost A&P

  • @Tjita1 It is a common sound on the 737s. Without any scientific or statistic proofs, I think I've heard it more often when the air is cold. Can that be correct?

  • @sm0rgm Not at all..

    watch?v=RUqs-SPDI94

  • @akbas12 I stand corrected! :)

  • @crocodile2006 The tips of the fan blades go supersonic and make that noise.

  • @larsli I should have thought of that. Obviously you're correct.

  • those rolls royce engines are freakin loud

  • @shister76 they sound like the 777's

  • awesome video....

  • I love how the Pilot holds the breaks, lets the RPM build up a little bit and then releases them and adds full power. With the weather the way it was, im sure you want as much power as you can get to get safely off the ground. Great work to the Pilots and great video :D

  • So mag ich Starts! Triebwerke hochdrehen und noch gebremst bleiben, Bremsen lösen und sofort Startleistung geben und dann gehts gut ab. Klasse Pilot, klasse Start!

  • i was the 100tth like!!!

  • thats not a fkn snowstorm

  • @aklosvik It was very close to shut the airport down. Sorry to hear it wasn't good enough for you.

  • @aklosvik What would you call it? A summer breeze? Idiot.

  • @aklosvik Why is it almost every Youtube I come across, there is always a little bitch bitching about the video instead of enjoying it?

  • @aklosvik what is it then dumbass

  • @spud921 its a little wind and a bit snow.

  • There's an EXTREME headwind - you can see it because when the plane stops, the snow is heading to the rear of the plane - indicating a strong head wind.

  • I will try my best and recreate this in FSX some time soon, with your permission.

    Even though my videos suck.

  • @DeadlyInertia Feel free to do that. I'm looking forward to see the result.

  • BALLS.

  • Awesome graphics. What graphics card do you have?

  • @whateveryounub It is called "Real World"! I know, it is really awesome, haven't seen anything like it! :)

  • @sm0rgm is it by Nvdia or AMD? I want it!!! :P

  • looked like fsx for sec

  • @seacuracao The real world - almost as awesome as fsx! :)

  • AWESOME! Didn't really need much ground speed, because of the headwind. One of the most awesome take-offs I've ever seen! EXCELENT!

  • LOVE the sound! Totally awesome.

  • motor by Cfm 56

  • what a nice spool up sound! amazing mate

  • i LOVE jet engines!!!

  • Excellent work...

  • was it that noisy or is it just the camera?

  • acceleration :S better than a ferrari daaam girl

  • That is awesome!!! Think the pilot without a doubt done the right thing, just get off of the slippery runway as quickly as possible! :)

  • Yes, u could tell that the pilot held her on her brakes as he thrusted the engines for that caterpult effect down the Runway, great vid man, we done.

  • my good, love the sound of engines working!

  • haha sounds like it was fully loaded with passengers and baggages@kirdid

  • absolutley amazing

  • amazing video, great to watch!!!!

  • AWESOME! And a little danger to fly! ^^

  • I have to say, the cabin is very quiet! Not even a screaming baby!

  • NICE dude! I liked and added to my favourites! :D

  • wooow! such a goood clip! the lights are so amazing, and the sound and the power of the 737 are soo fucking awesome!

  • my good this is one of the best engines sound i've never heared FAVO =D

  • Great! :)

  • Whats the bright yellow light towards the end?

  • @ArshavinatorTheTres That's light from the landing lights being reflected in moist as we enter thicker layers clouds. (Not an engine on fire :))

  • @sm0rgm Oh right thank you, i thought it was a fire at first lol

  • Awesome view.

  • I love the sound of the engine!! It reminds me when I was a little boy and used to fly here and there!! :D
