I like leveling up so much I prestige not so I can have a little symbol next to my name but because I want to go and unlock everything all over again. Also IW must have knew when they said they were having dedicated servers everyone expected ranked as well as unranked servers. Hey man, just wondering why you have 3 monitors with a 5870 (I think it's a 5870, correct me if i'm wrong). I've got fairly good knowledge on PCs and I understand you have a good cpu and overkill ram, but I can't see why you need 3 monitors when you have a single 5870, which isn't really amazing, it gets the job done, but it isn't exactly a 6990/590.
@HiImNickWhoAreU My triple monitor setup is more for productivity purposes than for Eyefinity gaming. I typically play games on the center screen while multitasking on the other two.
I hated dedi servers so I am happy I can play with my friends in lobbies again even if it means IWnet. I mean sure, host advantage was annoying but I can live with it + if they had ranked dedi servers then two kids could buy a server and just headshot each other for hours... wow. That would make the competitive elite useless for everyone else. So, personally, I dont get why everyone has to fuss around so much!
@springbaloo Are you actually implying dedicated servers aren't as good as matchmaking? Who cares if two morons boost in a server they payed for, it's pretty rare anyway. you can EASILY play with your friends on dedicated servers. It's as simple as giving them the ip.

In addition, more then half the servers out there are only nuketown while the others r all empty! no fun

I play in a clan to. when we all play in same team the other team gets crushed. so the admins of the server try to balance the game making it fun for everyone. so i understand that. I like it when you play e real clan match 6 vs 6 thats fun and hard, but fun :)

This and that strike package trailer completely put me off MW3, I wasn't excited for it originally but I was still going to get it. Now I just hope Steam refunds me quickly. This kinda thing is a breach of trust, if they've done it with this, what else have they done it with? Because I've definitely spotted tonnes of bullshit in this game already and it really won't be the game that the few people are hoping for. BF3 and Skyrim to brighten my Winter :D

I'm not buying mw3 because uhh...derp it's gonna suck just as much as mw2 did. They're already going down that path and it's soooo obvious. Canceled my preorder the second I read that post by Bowling. They say they want p2p only for leveling to prevent hacking and cheating. You can't get a lobby in MW2 without at least 1 hacker and p2p makes it impossible for legit players to police them. Between Infinity Ward's lies and Black Ops launch, I am NEVER buying a CoD title.
@taposa2000 That's something I've just never been able to understand. Activision seems to believe that matchmaking reduces the amount of hacking, when, in the case of MW2, we saw that the exact opposite was true.
You know how I feel about that sort of stuff. Activision moved it and made a brilliant play to get a bunch of pre-orders and settle the minds of those of us on PC. Now, they've released the full info, most of which we aren't happy with.
That aside, Blizzard made a great move, too. Securing a year's worth of sub fees AND almost assuring people buy the expansions. Expect half of the BlizzCon stuff to change drastically. I think these companies are learning from each other.

i share your opinion. it was disingenuous. alot of pc gamers want a call of duty on pc with a long shelf life. we want to support a great game on dedicated servers with mod tools so we can create a great promod. But activision just wants us to play their game their way every year and forget about the title before. i will not support competitive console, i want competitive pc play.
I prepurchased MW3, I am a Call of Duty player. I can get past not having the lean and all, but I share the distaste in how they're keeping details like ranks not in dedis until the last minute. It feels as if they're only doing it for money, and that the dedicated servers were an afterthought.

I can understand the no maxfps. Having 250 fps does give you a bit of an advantage over players with lesser PC's. But the unranked dedi's is just straight shit. Do they simply not understand that there's a reason why CoD 4 still remains the most played CoD on PC. They had it perfect and it's aged well. I'm sorry Brandon but you were, if anything, too nice to Activision in this video, they really couldn't care less about anybody who plays their games, people are just walking pieces of cash to them. I know you could say that about any publisher in response, but the difference is that they at least give people more of what they want, to make customers feel it was worth their time and money of which was invested in their game.

i share your opinion. it was disingenuous. alot of pc gamers want a call of duty on pc with a long shelf life. we want to support a great game on dedicated servers with mod tools so we can create a great promod. But activision just wants us to play their game their way every year and forget about the title before. i will not support competitive console, i want competitive pc play.

I prepurchased MW3, I am a Call of Duty player. I can get past not having the lean and all, but I share the distaste in how they're keeping details like ranks not in dedis until the last minute. It feels as if they're only doing it for money, and that the dedicated servers were an afterthought.

I can understand the no maxfps. Having 250 fps does give you a bit of an advantage over players with lesser PC's. But the unranked dedi's is just straight shit. Do they simply not understand that there's a reason why CoD 4 still remains the most played CoD on PC. They had it perfect and it's aged well. If it's for money, jeez, you've already got the 2 highest selling entertainment items ever and Blizzard in you back pocket with WoW, the game that's pulled an ungodly amount of money. Wtf?
