Transformation was so wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy ahead of its time. And I can think of a few transgendered people who Ive known in my life who said in so many words that this song helped them save thousands in therapy. Hi this is an incredible performance, and is that Ronnie Drayton on guitar? This man is an unknown rock legend, and the rock don in Nyc, even more so than Vernon Reid. Ronnie had a dope band in the early 80s called Sirius. A true genius!

I was introduced to Nona at Studio 54 in March 83 just when her Nona album and the single Keep It Confidential came out. She was very nice and when I asked if I could take her photo she said that she was leaving with her friend (who it turned out was Carole Pope)in a few moments. I followed them outside through a side exit and took a few photos of them... then I had to try and get back inside!

You are probably thinking of B Angie B's version of "I Don't Want To Lose Your Love." It would be great to hear Nona sing that, but her own songs are so strong she doesn't have to cover other material. I saw Nona live on the True Colors Tour in Vancouver, Canada the summer of 2008 and tho she only played a short set, she absolutely rocked! There was talkof a live CD, but I have yet to hear news of it. Nona is a true Rock 'n Soul Legend who like wine only improves with time!

Pure genius. I remember buying the NONA LP back in 82/83 and listening to "Transformation" and thinking, she is sooo ahead of her time! And she still is! Brilliant, song, sexy. Sublime.

I was in college when that lp came out and I swear to God every person I played it for went out and bought it. I am talking mostly trendy white kids--man I think if "Nona" had been marketed differently it would have been the biggest record of 1983. The buzz was enormous

I had breakfast with her once and she looked far better in person than she does on video. She is just naturally very pretty--but beyond that she has presence. It's that certain something you can't articulate--she's a star.
