So you can do it right the first time... some will just paint the case without sanding or priming. Also getting the right paints for the job is so important.
What type of paint do you use to paint the inside and the rack? I'd like to do something similar but I don't want to use the wrong type of paint and mess it up.
Dupli-Color at Autozone, start with Self-Etching Primer after sanding wait 24hrs then use your different colors. On the primer I did about three coats, the Matte Black 3 coats.
On the racks you have two options you can use the Dupli-Color Metalcast anodized and then the Blue or Red Metal Specks three coats of each. That option is very expensive and it takes longer but the results are amazing. The other option is still very good, Rust-Oleum Mettallic Blue.
hey im looking to get this case, and what i cant really find a strate answer for, are the top and front fan bays both 200mm for diff. sizes a reply would be help full.
@tyrt100 exelent job dude, i have the same case and you could changue the cpu, and power leds to blue, that red doesnt look good, i changued mine, cpu=white led, power=blue led and it looks really cool!
I build and fix computers part time... I'm mostly do repairs and upgrades for small businesses or friends. Wish I could do this full time, but there's not enough work or money. Cooler Master .com sells the 912 panel with window already installed for 24.99 or you can go to Home Depot an buy the window and tools to make your own mod.
Yep... even the Black edition, but I think you can change them if you want. I've seen other guys on youtube do this on cases like the HAF 932 from blue to red. Performance PC is probably your best bet if you're planning to do something like that.
Well what I should have asked was ... Will the XSPC Rasa 750 rs240 work in the Haf 912? The rad is a 240mm series. The actual specs on the rad in this kit measure 121mmX35mmX277mm.
Maybe from the outside, but to me the case looks kind of small for that type of rad kit. Like I said before... you're better off with something bigger.
hi mate, could you please tell me where you got the perspex for the side window from? im looking all around the internet, but companies are so expensive and dont cut to the size i want. thanks
Dose this case come with any LEDs?

You said to do some research before painting the case. Why?

You'll get an awesome feeling after you're done modding the HAF 912... just do a bit of research before you paint your case.

The case comes with a 200mm fan in the front and 120mm in the back. You can install both a 200mm on top or two 120mm.

Are the front LED's both red like the a normal haf 912?
ksidornseif 10 months ago

I think the Black edition comes with the front 120mm LEDs... this one came with just a plain 120mm fan installed.

nope... it's to small. You might want to go with a bigger case.

Your client should use the 200mm fans because they are quieter.
pety49 1 year ago
@pety49
Agree, but no money to buy the extra CM 200mm fan, he'll get that later with a fan controller.
