Cary Grant's therapist used LSD and this was before it was illegal and was a mainstream (more or less) thing.
He praised it greatly. It's sad that social issues interfere with use of these drugs in psychotherapy which is obviously something worth figuring out.

@zedooncadhz no pure mdma is slightly more mellow than the speedy stuff that we get today.ive had mdma that was very pure and i was almost in a daze..eyes rolling bssck in the head sortoff thing.. hence the word. ROLLING. I did all my E back in 1990 through 99 it was very good in those days.

When you go out and listen to music and take MDMA you are full of love and at peace within etc yeh but you also go CRAZZYY and are so full of energy it is awesome. This is pure MDMA i am talking about not crystal meth these type of drugs are called UPPERS for a reason, you cannot sleep all night no matter how hard you try and have to smoke a load of weed afterwards i've done this about 30 times so i don't need to speculate

@zedooncadhz those effects are purely induced by your environment, you can feel "crazzyy" from upbeat music and excited people all around you. I have done literally thousands of pills and didn't usually go to raves when i was younger, we would sit around a friends house to roll and, if we got some pure, would be very mellow and subdued, usually just lying around cuddling and feeling the euphoria and heightened physical sensetivity. however, when taking pressed pills, we'd often end

@direwolfmusic up staying up all night, and the next day, drinking and smoking weed to try to get to sleep. these pills often contain crystal meth, ephedrine and other stimulants to try to mimic the effect of mdma, which is more expensive and difficult to produce than cheap meth or CAT. look up any pill testing website, i gaurantee 8/10 pills contain something other than mdma. trust me, pure is a calm euphoric feeling lasting about 3-4 hours and with little "sketch"

Native cultures around the world have been using natural psychoactive compounds, pharmacologically, which are very different from designer drugs like MDMA. MDMA has an LD50 of about 50-100mg/kg and a single pill can contain as much as 100mg. Pscilocybin and DMT, and Peyote, (All of which are common in aborigional and native cultures) have extremely high LD50, "Shrooms" for example LD50 is 275 mg/kg, the effective dose is 9mg/4.5g.
