  • This really does nt look like they did it right. Watch people who can act try Becket on film 2001 the best I have seen of this they make it real not silly.

  • @docicenogle

I agree, Beckett on film was a fantastic adaptation.

  • Many people think of it as a comedy, but for me it's the saddest and most devastating play I've ever read and seen. This trailer fits perfectly.

  • Simply amazing. I want to see Sir Ian perform so bad!!

  • This trailer is absolutely horrific. I'm sure the production was wonderful, but the dramatic music in the background and the spoke interludes are annoying beyond words, it makes it seem more like a soap opera than an Absurdist comedy.

  • @ArtD42 That's why it is the Tragedy trailer......

  • Tonight Matthew I'm gonna be

  • My son Will, was lucky enough to be a part of this wonderful play in Sydney from June-July 2010

  • Astonishing performance in Christchurch New Zealand last night. Students: check out the deals for Wednesday and Thursday night.

Gogo. Dodo. This must be the definitive production of our time!

  • patrick stewart doesn't preform anymore???

  • Do you think this means they are finally doing a DVD? No, I suppose not.

The great missed opportunity was failing to do a DVD of the original McKellen / Stewart version. What a shame.

  • ohmigosh!!!

seeing this in wellington in like 3 months!! i cant believe theyre bringing it to new zealand just as we r doing the play in class. i wish i was playing estragon now, then i could quote ian mckellen

  • This was absolutely breathtaking - saw it last night. They were all brilliant.

  • Watched the play last night, absolutely brilliant.

  • Saw this last night. Over 35 years of Theatregoing, I reckon I saw one of the greatest performances ever-Matthew Kelly is staggering in this. Mesmerising performance by all.

  • third person to view makes me smile i love you Ian!

  • I love this! Just like the play, it's quirky and sad. Watched it over and Matthew Kelly is gross (in a good way). What great actors they all are!

Makes you really want to see the play.

  • First person to view it!

    Unbelievable :)
