Your version is beautiful! My understanding is that this song was on european versions of Ten summoners tales but not american versions, is that right? I have another version on a b-side called January Stars(same tune different lyrics).

I love it! I've been hearing Sting for nearly 30 years, and usually I actually like the 'b side' songs better than the hits. I love this song, and you succeed in capturing the ironic twist of it. Good work!

It wasn't a b-side by the way, but was available on some (only some!?!?!?!) formats of '10 Summoners tales'. It's actually my favorite of Sting, and one of my faves of his whole 'canon'.
