I'm curious about what Uther could have done without Arthas' culling. If Arthas wouldn't be that stubborn to let the crude vengeance overcome himself. Uther warned him about that earlier, but Arthas' personality is very impulsive, thus he was destined to fall.
As Uther says, "There's got to be some other way!". Then maybe he was thinking the simple paladin way: cleaning and protecting the land with the Holy Light and the priests, knights? How would Uther protect Lordaeron, Stratholme?
Arthas did what he had to do, if he hadn't purged the city they would have all ended in the undead army, sooner or later they would have to kill them, but he shouldn't have never gone to Northrend, but of course this is how the story goes and it wouldn't be so interesting if it hadn't continued this way.

I can do Arthas, Uther, Death Knight, Detheroc, the black undead ghost, the dead old male magician, Terenas, The Lich King combined voice with Arthas and Nerzhul "Now, we are one" also when Terenas says "My son, the day you were born...." also "we never paid any heed to the ancient prophecies"

@momomo951 ofc they do.. in "the culling of stratholme" you enter the Caverns of Time and travel back in time to when Arthas did his purgin of the undead in Stratholme.. thought that would be kinda obvious, if you just take note of what's going on

kewl, the voice acting used for uther the lightbringer is the exact same one used in the culling of stratholme in WoW, so is the voice acting of jaina, everything else seems to have been redone with different actors, arthas and mal ganis
@bloodcrest007 no it isnt, the voice actor for arthas is different, so is mal ganis, uther and jaina are the only ones with the same voice actors as in the culling of stratholme, they didnt give them new voice acting they just reused the ones from this game, arthas and mal ganis were redone completely, just using the same lines
@omygodsword Lol the reason Arthas's voice is different: The Original voice actor was offered a low amount of money for his part in WoW, so they hired a different one, requiring him to redo the lines for Stratholme.. I beleive Mal'Ganis' voice actor died. I'm not sure.

It's different because with your party there from the future, you've subtly changed the past-- as did the Infinite Dragonflight-- but not enough to change the past wholesale.
The dialogue will be a bit different to reflect that.
Baron was a Horsemen of the Dead, he was send to Stratholme to pull the Argent's Best Holy Priest who can foresee things so the Argent Dawn would come in for their trap and die, but if Baron failed he would escape to Naxxarmax to be remade
i wish they released an RPG-format game that covered the full story of warcraft. not online, just normal RPG. the story is amazing. i spent hours reading it in work one day.
Yeah I see what you're saying. WoW follows the story of you. You adventure and make your own lifeline based off the current status of the past. But like play WoW as it is, but you can play as the original heroes and villains of WC and re-in act the lore within WoW's graphics and stuff.

Response to Noob: Orginial Warcraft? There are 3 warcrafts. Warcraft 1 Orcs and Humans, WC 2 Tides of Darkness, and WC 3 Reign of Chaos which is this one. If u mean just on WC 3, no. You play 2 more campaigns as orc and nightelf. He just skiped the rest of the story and went to The expansion Frozen Throne to continue where the story of arthas left off.

i love how blizzard adopt a stratholme event into WoW instance. I've noticed they even re-record the voices of the actors even its a same dialog on WC3. <3
all hail The Lich King Arthas Menethil my favorite warcraft 3 character. Lady Sylvanas Windrunner my second favorite and Kel'thuzad my third favorite character XD
But we must think... If the Scourge didn't defy the Legion, the Legion would have steamrolled Azeroth by now. So the fact that Arthas lived and saved the Lich King, and thus the Scourge in fact held the Legion off, which sort of "saved" Azeroth so to say (Not that the Scourge hanging around is helpful, but it's better then the Legion taking all).
I didn't play WoW - basically I don't have money for that. But in my opinion - the story created by W3 gives a real perfected base for RPG, on the other hand WoW destroyed the possibility to make new and even more complex storys for blizzard strategic games. Ow well... We all wait for upcoming of the Starcraft II this or next year.
I wouldn't say it ruined it.. It just has a different point of view from the player. In WC3 your the actual hero, and it's different when your just a player.

In my opinion he was right to purge strathome. Otherwise the undead would be more powerful. The only mistake he made, was going for Frostmourne.
When they landed in Northrend, thats when he lost his mind to Ner'Zhul's power.

i wish they released an RPG-format game that covered the full story of warcraft. not online, just normal RPG. the story is amazing. i spent hours reading it in work one day.

Yeah I see what you're saying. WoW follows the story of you. You adventure and make your own lifeline based off the current status of the past. But like play WoW as it is, but you can play as the original heroes and villains of WC and re-in act the lore within WoW's graphics and stuff.

By original you mean WC3? Arthas has only been in Wc3. Anyways, you only play with Arthas on Wc3 Human and Undead campaign. And in the Frozen Throne you play as him in Undead campaign. It may sound short, but it isn't.

Response to Noob: Orginial Warcraft? There are 3 warcrafts. Warcraft 1 Orcs and Humans, WC 2 Tides of Darkness, and WC 3 Reign of Chaos which is this one. If u mean just on WC 3, no. You play 2 more campaigns as orc and nightelf. He just skiped the rest of the story and went to The expansion Frozen Throne to continue where the story of arthas left off.

No. Arthas, marudin bronzebeard and jaina. which is in human campaign. (reign of chaos, Warcraft 3). The rest will be witnessed by you when you buy the pack.

i love how blizzard adopt a stratholme event into WoW instance. I've noticed they even re-record the voices of the actors even its a same dialog on WC3. <3

But we must think... If the Scourge didn't defy the Legion, the Legion would have steamrolled Azeroth by now. So the fact that Arthas lived and saved the Lich King, and thus the Scourge in fact held the Legion off, which sort of "saved" Azeroth so to say (Not that the Scourge hanging around is helpful, but it's better then the Legion taking all).

I didn't play WoW - basically I don't have money for that. But in my opinion - the story created by W3 gives a real perfected base for RPG, on the other hand WoW destroyed the possibility to make new and even more complex storys for blizzard strategic games. Ow well... We all wait for upcoming of the Starcraft II this or next year.
