I have a recording of this concert and during this song, Bowie is not singing. Am I going crazy or is there another version/edit of this concert? Also, I like Bowie, but it sounds a hell of a lot better without him.
At beginning I did not like Bowie voice in the song, but after listen and listen I think that it sounds great. Bowie gives it an intense dramatic tone to this version
this is so good. is it on the pulse level ? maybe not but it is loveley. i heard pulse for 15 years this 2006 playing of c numb by a person of 61 makes my wife divorce me.she knows i love her just a little more than floyd. she loves me getting so entranced watchig this. she knows that i i always love her and pink floyd
@dazvinci i think this performance was way better then pules, sure it dident have a gigantic disco ball of lasers but i just like that pure strat tone of this version, not a big fan of the EMG strat, too dirty and electronical sounding as Dave has said himself (even though he used it for shine on for this concer)
In my opinion this song is a hauntingly beautiful song in the similar vein as "Ashes To Ashes", Bowie's great song. With Bowie on this it adds to that. Bowie should cover this song on one of his albums if has not yet. I'm a big fan of his but in recent years have not been up to date on what he has come out with so I don't know if he has covered this or not. He should if he has not yet.
I disagree with any of you who say that Bowie does not think Bowie's voice fits in this song. This song has a haunting feel to it and Bowie's voice is perfect. Bowie's eerie voice echos the haunting aura of this song. In fact I wish Bowie would join Pink Floyd as a member since Roger Waters is on again and off again when it comes to membership of this band. No not expecting Bowie to play bass but to be a singer on tour with The Floyd. That would be awesome.
I think David Bowie gives it an intense dramatic tone to this version. I´m totally desagree with you both. Besides, David Gilmore should give up his part on the song too, to make it really great. Just affording the guitar part.
David Gilmour has such an amazing voice. it needs to get some getting used to when you hear david bowie sing though. nice footage, i've never seen it before. thanks for uploading it!
I don't know what will happen to this world when David Gilmour "dies".

I absolutely adore David Bowie, but I don't think he's the right one to sing this song.
Classic footage, all the same, especially at the end. Both Graham Nash and David Bowie on stage, too cool.

Yeah, David Bowie's voice does not match the song in any way.
Otherwise, everything else is absolutely amazing!
