  • Brilliant demo, great playing.

  • thank you Bjorn! This helped me so much to find out how the bridge between Green is the Colour and CWTAE is played

great playing by the way, very Gilmour-like

  • what is the chord your playing right after the first G?

  • @Fretlessjay

    It's a Cmaj7

  • @BjornRiis thought so, alot of the online tabs have it as C major

  • Nice demo. Cold you point me where to get the tab for that version of "the embryo"?

Cheers (We seem to listen to the same bootlegs!)

  • @DarthG0m3zzz

Sorry. I don't have any tabs for it...

  • @BjornRiis Thanks... If you had to choose between the London II and Analogman's sunface bc108, which one will you choose? Cheers

  • @DarthG0m3zzz

This red London Fuzz is a germanium model so you can't really compare it with the BC108, which is silicon. Germanium for David's 1968-70 tones and silicon for his 1971-75 tones.

  • have you tried mi audio fuzzes?

  • @tomiclav

Most of them yes. Souds good but didn't blow me away.

  • you have the red guitar :P?

  • aaaaaaaaa I love that guitar: D is the model that more I like about gilmour

  • Svensk?

  • @simon4tw

    He he... nei, norsk!

  • loving the bridge pickup sound! My texas specials are really sick but my bridge pickup is too thin for my style. I'm looking for something a little thicker...

  • Are you a fan of a band called porcupine tree

  • @brianz1214

    Yep.

  • great sustain.

  • does it have a AC adapter input?

  • @tomiclav

    Yes

  • I think we both listen to the same Floyd's Bootlegs :D.

  • how do you set your volume knob for your rhythm tone with the london fuzz ?

  • @coubiakb on the strat i mean

  • Holy crap I'm buying one right now!!

  • London fuzz red o blue? Thank...

  • Red.

  • what do you use to record yourself? :)

  • Built-in camera and mic on my iMac. Edited with iMovie.

  • oh ok thx ^^

  • London Fuzz sounds AWESOME!!!

What about the silicon version or the Foxey for a Gilmour tone? Nice video as usual, 5 stars

  • This pedal sounds more like Hendrix than the Hendrix one does lol

  • What Marshall are you running into ? Really nice...5 stars

  • It's a 1982 5210 solid state 50w. It was a short run of JCM800 amps in solid state combo versions. Sadly deleted but awesome tone.

  • Great stuff as usual Bjorn...

  • what kind of strat is that mim or american?

  • It's a MIM Classic 70s

  • ive been looking at those and have heard they have smaller frets than usual. is it bothersome to you or can't notice?

  • practice :) It's really easy once you get the hang of it, and adds so much more expression to your playing

    good luck.

  • That's not a bad thing, in fact the Rush-Muffs sound better than the new "reissues".

  • Holy Fuck! 2:50 I wasn't expecting that! My volume was all the way up!

  • Nice tone as always Bjorn

    Thank for the review

And that Big Muff shirt is awesome !! Heh

  • great sound , can you please tell me what the brands of tubes you using in marshall , on the power amp el34 and the 12ax7 tubes on the preamp?

  • Thanks! The Marshall is a solidstate...

  • whats the name of the song you start playing at 2.54 ?

    Thanks

  • This is Pink Floyd Embryo.

  • wow, a very flattering video clip for MJM, I'm sold!

  • That's Embryo - a song they never released apart from the acoustic version on Works.

  • Last question:) Have you tried the MJM Silicon version? London Fuzz (Blue)

    If so do you recommend?

  • Hi Bjorn: you say "As talked about above, the best match for these pedals is a powerful tube amp cranked really hard but you can compensate this by adding an overdrive pedal after the fuzz like a Boss BD-2, Tube Driver or Colorsound Powerboost. The essence here is to use a transparent pedal. A Tube Screamer as similar will colour too much. "

Would the BBE Green Screamer be to much...not sure what bidget model you recommend for a smaller amp.... Would you recommend The London Fuzz II?

  • The BBE is a Tube Screamer clone and these have a bit too much mid range to give you the desired effect. The Boss BD-2 should be within a budge range I think. You can also check out the vintage overdrive tube driver clone from Behringer.

  • VINTAGE TUBE OVERDRIVE VT911

    Classic Vacuum Tube Overdrive

I could also use this in my line up for Wish You Were Here & Dark Side Applications on a smaller amp (Blues Jr.)

Thinking about getting the Peavey Classic 50....to my ear sounds quite close to the 59 Bassman..... Your input in top notch!

  • The Peavey is a great amp. Very close to the old Fenders.

  • Last Question Promise ;)

Why Non Alkaline Batteries for Stomp Boxes...changes sound noticeably?

I should buy the carbon...cheap batteries...any you suggest

  • Vintage type effects like fuzz, treble boost etc needs carbon batteries to sound their best. Alkaline or power adapters makes the pedal sound thinner and brighter... not too much but noticeable.

  • Sorry... which Behringer...

Green One TO800 or VINTAGE TUBE OVERDRIVE VT911 Sorry......

  • The first song is Green is the colour? Good job Bjorn

  • Yeah, check out the live version from 1970. Quite different than teh album.

  • Det var jævla bra! :)

  • Hey bjorn Great vid. Aewsome sound! I thought your black strat had the 69s and your classic 70s had the 54s? Did you switch them again? :)

  • I have CS69 in both now :)

  • I am guessing that is your Ibanez on the side and Awesome Sound For A germanium pedal, much better than the fuzz face reissue

  • The guitar to the right is an Epiphone SG. The acoustic is a Washburn Western.

  • ooooh

  • Cool man! Seeing you play Green is the Colour has given me better insight on how to play it.

  • fantastic Bjorn!!

Ive been looking for some decent reviews of this in comparison on the Sunface, would be great if u could demo that too :)

    Phil

  • Great sounding fuzz, and as always a greta demo

  • first! or not :(

  • Sounds very nice Bjørn,how much in Nok?

  • Thanks! About 1150kr

  • Not a bad price, but i bet it sounds better on your Sound City than on the Marshall..

  • The clip doesn't do it justice obviously but it sounds very nice on the Marshall too. Cleans up a bit on the Sound City but that's mostly due to a higher volume.
