  • nice review subbed

  • What is happening on the TV screen whenever you turn the game on and the power button blinks? Does the screen blink as well? I've seen that problem before and the solution could be as simple as cleaning the pin connectors on the cartridge. Over time, the pin connectors become damaged just by pulling the games in and out of the system and stuff like that.

  • Yeah, the tv screen blinks as well. Usually green, but sometimes different colors. We tried taking it apart and cleaning the connectors, but that didn't work either! After that, I tried blowing into the cartridge and wiggling it in the system. Then it suddenly worked. But I still have blow into the cartridge, and ocasionly wiggle it gently in the system in order for it work every time I want to play a diffent game.

  • Don't blow it, that could damage it even more and make it even more dirty. What you need to do is get some cotton swabs and dip them in either Windex or rubbing alcohol, (but I think Windex would work better) and rub the swab on both sides of the pin connectors. Then let it air dry and the connectors on the game will be all clean again.

If it still doesn't work, you might need to get that console refurbished. The connectors in the system might be bent because of years of ejecting games from it.

  • I was thinking about that, but then I looked on the back of the cartridge. It gives you warings such as not to clean with Benzene, Thinner, Alcohol or other such solvents. It also says not to immerse in water, or store in extreme temperatures. Our only other option is to order a new 72-pin connector off amazon(They only cost $4 each) If that works, and my NES works, then I will do part 2 of my review which will include gameplay footage of Super Mario Bros., and Duck Hunt.

  • Don't use alcohol then. Just use Windex. I saw a video where one guy got his NES game working again by cleaning the connectors with Windex. I'll send you the link if I can find it again.

  • Merry Christmas!!!
