  • What's the name of the song?

  • cake is pro,my bro =))

  • I love chocolate but I liked the music much more :p

  • Happy National Chocolate Cake day! :3 *1 day late lol*

  • Many thanks for sharing the recipe with us. I love your instructions!

  • what is the BGM calling?

  • can i make it in micro oven?

  • @arkolly You mean a microwave? That won't work. However, if the oven also has a normal baking mode (i.e. no microwave), then it might work... ;)

  • @ChefDePatisserie hey can replace the raspberry with strawberry

  • Mine just came out of the oven...and it's great!!! I love it..!! I can't wait to try it with the raspberries and chocolate ganache :)

    Thanks!!

  • Hi Keiko. Great recipe thank you very much. Mine comes out great with the exception that the top middle part is still very gooey from the chocolate. This makes it very tricky to cut in layers and of course ... remove the top layer without it breaking it. I fear that If I leave it in longer, the outer edges will go dry. Any ideas as to where I may be going wrong? Thank you.

  • @tavrion Did you bake a larger cake? Increasing the baking time should fix the "gooey" problem. If the cake gets dry on the sides, you may need to decrease the baking temperature slightly. Good luck! :)

  • @ChefDePatisserie I did bake a larger cake! I probably should have mentioned that. : ) I used a 21cm baking pan and the factors you supplied. I`ll try what you suggested with a lower temperature and longer duration. Once I see the cracks forming, I just want to take it out. : ) Thank you very much for the tip. This cake is to die for, even if mine is still a tiny bit gooey : )

  • anything with coconut ill be happy to make

  • Keiko, I followed your recipe, but my cake didn't rise like yours, it was so dense. Before I baked it, the batter looked so thick.

  • @KalerTerang The cake is not as "fluffy" as a normal sponge cake. If you think that yours is too dense, still, then it's most likely because you overmixed after adding the meringue (egg white).

  • @KalerTerang After you bake it, flip it over!!! This is a mistake I figured out after 10 cakes..... I had to make 3 cakes just for 3 layers, that's how deflated they got.

  • CAN YOU MAKE LIKE A FRUIT TYPE MOUSSE...I LOVED YOUR CHOCOLATE MOUSSE VIDEO, BUT I AM STUMPED ON HOW TO MAKE A RASPBERRY OR LEMON TYPE MOUSSE

  • That's yummy !!!!

  • Oh goshhh it's beautiful!!!

  • no flour?

  • @1125maryrose It's all explained in great detail in the free chocolate cake guide. See description...

  • where i can see recipes?

  • @OtaBiatchBoo non c un peu comme une recette de brownies sauf que a la fin tu ajoutes du blancs d;oeufs battus en neige=)

  • That looked amazing!!!

  • hi, what is the different between this recipe and the sacher ?

  • @psalm1604 The sponge cake is similar. However, the Sacher icing is a more complicated than the ganache I used here.

  • @ChefDePatisserie Where do you buy glucose? I go online but all I get is glucose meters *for dibetics and stuff * and glucose sugar pills *to lower glucose levels*

  • @michelle13579123 If you can't find glucose, you can use corn syrup instead. You could also make the cake without the glucose. The ganache will be a bit less shiny and smooth but the cake will still taste great. ;)

  • @ChefDePatisserie ok, thank you.

  • I would like to eat this for me its a huge temptetion.

  • Gateux au Chocolate is the cake no? =D

  • Is it only me or did they only cut 2 layers..yet the cake is 3-layers? I'm so confused..haha nevertheless, it looks amazing :D

  • Woah! that cake looks really good! :D

  • is it a flourless cake?

  • Hi keiko, how long did it took you to thicken the ganache? thanks. :))

  • @AmielDionisio It depends on the bowl you use (size, shape, metal or plastic...) - I put mine in the fridge for about 30 minutes. Then, check the consistency.

  • I just love watching how you don't make any unessesary movements

  • hi, would you give me the amounts of the ingredients? thanks!

  • hi keiko. can i remove the butter from the frosting? what will happen if i do that? thanks. :)

  • @AmielDionisio It's possible, but the ganache will be less smooth and creamy.

  • hi keiko. im just wondering whats the purpose of putting the frosting into a pan like that? thanks. have a nice day. :) -amiel

  • @AmielDionisio That's an optional step. The flat pan lets the ganache cool down faster... ;)

  • Jesus Christ this guy is good!

  • i tried to make the chocolate cream/ganache, but my chocolate doesn't thicken like yours. did u refrigerate the chocolate?? how long??

  • @crazybabes1991 Make sure that you use high quality couverture. No need to refrigerate.

  • @ChefDePatisserie you are just truly amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you need to tell me the recipe!!!!!!!!!

  • where is the recipe ingredients?

  • it is the best recipe for a chocolate cake, i think.

But i wouldn't use whisk to mix in the egg white. Use a spatula!

  • how do you get all of the chocolate out of the bowl like that?

  • use a spatula :)

  • My mouth is watering after seeing that! But how do we get the amount of the ingredients in order to make this delicious cake?

  • Ah, I can't wait for this recipe through email! :D I love chocolate cake!

  • can you do it with milk chocolate?

or doesn't it taste good ?

  • Just replacing the dark chocolate with milk chocolate will not work. You'll need a different recipe.

  • @ChefDePatisserie rasberries just arent as good with milk chocolate

  • i think it would work with milk chocolate, but the cake might get a little too sweet.

  • @alfonstip That is because the milk solids will effect the recipe results. Same goes for chocolate bars and chocolate chips (since chocolate chips were specially made to hold their shape while baking). : )

  • @alfonstip i dont see how it will be that different, maybe just in taste. you might need to adjust the sugar amount...but anyway, just my speculation :-)

  • That looks SOOOO GOOD!! YUM :D
