  • Whats this board like with an I3?

  • how many graphics card can you have

  • I have this MB but the Video ports are on dedicated card (ATI HD5750- so far so good for your normal web surfing and documents.photos and the occasional game)

  • Mostly Gigabytes Customers service doesn't respond well and really sucks.

On the case rebates, gigabytes rebates has got late response within the expiry of time frame. This is sucks...this is Gigabytes.....

  • Erm, you kinda got your specs a bit wrong - it's a microATX board and it does in fact support RAID but only RAID 0 or 1 for only the 2 SATA ports powered by the separate SATA controller. They're not called old PCI slots and new PCI slots - it's PCI and PCI Express! It doesn't have two IDE ports - one of them is for a floppy drive... No, the board doesn't have 'onboard video', that's integrated into the Clarkdale CPUs. It's not SATA 3.0 - it's eSATA. Surprised you could even build a test rig!

  • @rww100 XD epic response:P

  • would u recomend this for a first time build?

  • Man...if i go for a dual channel VGA here I cant put anymore shit into the white slots?..damn

  • i want a mobo with lga 775 and usb 3.0 :<

  • I hate how these reviews always have the dumb looking graphs. Start the charts at zero so it doesn't look like the one that's 2% faster is 10 times faster. Common sense.

  • 7 sata ports why! im using 5 and i thought that was ott if your building a mid system you wont be going into raid or having +2 cd drives. Ne way nice board and nice dual usb by gigabyte.

  • Was very sceptic on how to build the lowest cost possible budget pc for my pa, and those h55 with an i3 really do the job without a gpu for ppl who dont really know what gaming means :)

    excellent stuff and review.

    5**

  • guys i have a question, are this specs good for middle gamer not hardcore.?? case: coolermaster gladiator 600 CPU: AMD phenom x4 955 3,2 Ghz Mobo:asus M4A79XTD EVO Videocard: XFX HD 5670 1GB Plextor DVD driver. coolermaster silent pro 600Watt PowerSup.. 4Gb ddr3 geil ram 500GB samsung HDD. just say your opinion i would live it. answer on this reaction.
  • @JamesProduction0 If you game at 1024 x 1080 , it's great , if you game at 1600 x 1050 , that Card is the Weak Point , I'd go with a ati 5770...

  • @mrjamesb56 I might be looking at a MSI "HAWK" 5770 with the over-volting software to overclock myself....

  • @mrjamesb56

    thanks dude ;)

so only the videocard is a lil weak and the cpu is good enough for middle and some higher games??

can i record with fraps no lagg with some older games like counterstrike source and cod4??

    and can i do multitask??

  • Frapps cut's down on any computers FPS , and I've seen up to 50% Performance hit with it ,...The COD games are coded great and it easily play counterstrike source , It will play CRYSIS if you Play at a lower resolution and settings , Any Quad multitasks great & for Video editing you have a great set up ...Search youtube for ati 5670 gaming ,there's some good video's ...

  • ...+ that motherboard can do 8gb ram ,so that's even better...

  • thanks dude

  • @JamesProduction0 No matter what GPU you have you will always take a hit from Fraps. I personally run dual 4890s and it drops me 10-15FPS when in some games.

  • it does drop fps's but not to that level, maybe its because you're running a multi-gpu configuration. I only lose like 3-7 FPS when I record vids with my 5850.

  • @JamesProduction0 ,Just read a review ,it's a great Overclocking Motherboard...

  • quite medium id say considering the i7 920 d0 at 4ghz, or 965 975 extremes and 2ghz triple ddr2, also 2x 5870s or 2x 5970's or 3x 285 sscs :)

  • i dont understand what u mean >>???

  • 400euros i built an i3 rig with this mobo, tt v3 case, enermax 420w psu,n 2gigbs 1800mhz ocz mem :)

i mean no need to buy gpu big psu's n bla bla

  • b0ss6769

If you're just gonna surf and watch movies and so it a good build but if you're gonna play you need a good video card

  • yeah that was for my old man to surf only dude. ;) my specs are: obsidian 800d i7 930 d0 with megashadow GB X58 UD7 Dominator GT 2000MHz 6gb SB Xfi Fatality Pro Enermax evo1250w corsair x128ssd, velociraptor, 2x wd blacks sata3 2x samsungs 2433bw's g19, g5 z5500 but its not powered up im waiting for the gtx 480 :) i dont think that i3 thing would stand a chance being my personal pc haha.
  • I wonder how many % of people are still using soundcards and ethernet cards and so on...I bet not too many. They should just give use some more PCI-E slots instead of the useless pci x1 slots noone actually uses :(

  • @KillaMarci I just bought an HT Omega Striker last week, the quality is much better than onboard.

  • It may be, I tried it out and I couldn't hear a difference to be honest :/ In my opinion today's onboard soundcards are already good enough (but this is something which is completely based on different tastes)

  • who needs pci x1 anyhow :P

  • People who remember that some motherboards may not have Ehternet built in and need to use the PCI slot for an Ethernet card.

  • That's weird, most mobo's today all have integrated ethernet.

  • Key word is "most" lol.

  • in that case get a new mobo. ^

  • For a sound card

  • @phillip8739

Many Creative sound cards need PCI x1.... and it provides super sound quality
