  • I absolutely love this song and, being from Corpus Christi, this is my favorite version. I love them for personalizing it. The greatness of a song is best measured by the emotions and memories that it stirs up. I too have strong memories, both good and bittersweet as do so many others who have posted theirs. Thanks for sharing.

  • Thank you so much for posting this. When I was a kid growing up in Temple, mad dad had a gas station on Ave M and 37th street. Buena Suerte Records was just a couple blocks down the street. This was before Little Joe bought the old bowling ally. Anyhow, they did business with us. I got a copy of Tony "The Top's" album, Chicano Country. Had a bunch of old Texas country standards, in English, and this song in both English and Spanish. Have always loved the song,

  • this song is a national treasure the lyrics are so beautiful i feel that everybody can relate to this song ,it brings tears to my eye's each time i hear it " Little Joe " is a living legend in his own time & to jerry c. great lyrics and god bless you.

  • This was written by myself (Jerry Cammack) while I was in a horrible depression after the death of my beloved son, Jean-Pierre at the age of ten. . When Johnny saw the lyrics he saw the American Indian ... Top saw a returning soldier, Joe saw his close friend Cesar Chavez's campaign. We all have our highs and lows and we all have our differences in outside appearance, but God made us all equal -- a theme I reinforced when I wrote Red Neck Meskin Boy for Joe. Thanks for your most kind comments.

  • @jvmack43 Mr Cammack it is really an honor to know you and to know are the writer of this song. This was my mothers favorote song. I am a performer myself and she would request me to sing this for her. At her funeral last year I made sure I sang it to her and I know she was smiling from above. Thank you Sir for sharing a piece of your soul with us. Las Nubes is an anthem for us. Every time I perform it I get 2nd and 3 rd requests to play it again. GOD BLESS YOU

  • I first heard this song at my cousins wedding and I liked the words as it was sort of the way I felt about life at the time being that I was told that I had COPD a fatal illness. I one thing after another illnesses etc. along with other problems occur in my life so much that I felt like JOB in the Bible. One I lived a retreat and was given the opportunity to ask God a question. I asked him why he gave me so many crosses to bear. The next day while playing a CD in my car I heard a voice answer me

  • El es un genio...

El dia que se muera,...todos nos vamos ha lamentar. Ojala, que uno escushe sus palabras,...su musica, ....pero mas importante...su alma..

    Saludos de Tejas

  • This was the way I remembered the original LP my Dad used to play. I think it was Little Joes way of showing that he was proud of who he was and grew up to be a MEXICAN AMERICAN!! Hell yeah!
