i agree. the fact the horror icon Freddie was changed ruined that film. they could have changed the plot a little as well. it was line for line at points, what's the point in a remake if its the same, i got bored and rewatched the original

I think Jackie did an excellent job as Freddy. Perfect man for the job, besides Robert. I loved the original, but I can't stop watching the remake. It's great!

@infinityonhigh26 I think she did a fantastic job at portraying the character the director wanted. However, most die hard Nightmare fans don't like her because she's not as tough anymore. She's more disturbed, personal, and lonely. Which, in my opinion, is a good thing considering all of the things she's seen.
