  • That was fantastic! Thank You!

  • God bless you and all you loved ones! :) I did enjoyed your journey. Maybe the reason to be chosen by God to open your heart into Catholicism. My prayers that also the people around you can get closer to Catholicism too. Please pray for me for the conversion of my own wife to Christianity and Catholicism. Cheers

  • Yes, the Eucharist, is the centre of Catholicism. Why? because Christ Himself is present in the Consecrated Bread and Wine as our food and drink, it is in Holy Communion that we receive Jesus into ourselves; it is our closest contact with Him and He imparts to us, as the Glorified Christ, His Holy Spirit of Love and Truth. "Lord, it is good for us to be here." Christ in us and we in Him.

  • You are in my prayers brother in Christ <3 Your journey to Catholicism is amazing!

I am joining the Seminary to become a Catholic Priest in August ^-^ I am so very talented and I had plans to become a famous singer, and own many businesses, etc, but I give all that up to serve God's children, old and young, black and white.

You truly did take the time to learn about religion and I am sure that God has a great reward waiting for you in the Kingdom of Heaven.

    - Catholic (Universal) Christian

  • Good ol' chick tracts. *sigh* That dude had some serious prejudices.

  • Amen! I love this video

  • youll' always be on my prayers brother God bless....

  • It happened to me... this hungry for the eucharist was so big... that i wanted to take part of it right away.... I left the protestant church about a year ago... and here I am... working my way in to the Seminary... Thanx for the vid.

  • May God bless you. Your story is inspiring.

  • God forbid we have woman priests. It is a delibrate attempt to keep women as low.

  • I am a convert as well. God bless you for sharing your story!

  • I am proud of you being a Catholic. I was raised Catholic and just recently converted to the Anglican Church. Anglicans are just like Catholics, it just does not have a Pope. We still celebrate the Eucharist every week. Anglicans believe that anyone could become a priest, bishop, deacon, etc.; not just a man. Anyone!

  • And the Anglican community was founded because of what? A king desiring a divorce which Jesus Himself preached against.

  • The only problem with "anyone" becoming Anglican is that Jesus himself didn't have woman apostles. During the last supper he washed the feet of his 12 apostles and instituted the priesthood that night. There is no mention of a woman getting her feet washed. Jesus was radical in a lot of things he did. If he wanted a woman to be a priest he would have made it so.

  • Too many anglicans are doing reverse way.

    Converting to catholicism.

    Because those priests orders.

    God Bless you.

  • Welcome home and help us, born catholics, to learn more about our faith. We need more man like you. Thank you.

  • I am about to start RCIA classes on this cycle. You and your story are blessings to me.

  • God bless you on your journey home.

  • Thank you for your conversion story. I am trying to compile a list of Catholic conversion testimonies here on Youtube on a playlist in my channel. If you know or run into any others like yours please send it my way :)

  • Cardinal Neman's statement had a lot to do with my study of the Catholic Church. Great Testimony.

  • "Stand fast, brethren, in the faith of Jesus Christ, and in His love, in His passion, and in His resurrection.... breaking one and the same bread, which is the medicine of immortality, and the antidote which prevents us from dying, but a cleansing remedy driving away evil, that we should live in God through Jesus Christ." Saint Ignatius of Antioch, Letter to the Ephesians 20.

God bless you and keep you,

    Anthony

  • God Bless you and welcome home.

Your story is so common today. I have met and heard about hundreds of Converts who were former youth ministers and/or anti-Catholics and alomst all of them say the same thing.

The most important elemnent in their Journey to the Church was the Eucharist.

  • Very interesting. Thank you for sharing.

  • Good, good, being myself a convert to Catholicism, I specially love this kind of stories!

  • Welcome home brother....love your video...God bless you and your family.

  • welcome to the church. i, too, am a proud catholic. i find your journey and devotion to catholicism so moving. it really is a beautiful thing.

  • God bless you brother!I did lose my faith long ago. However due to my experiences in life that are not humanly explainable I regained my faith stronger than ever.Proud Cathoic!!!!!

  • Welcome. My mom is Southern Baptist and my father Catholic (myself Catholic.) I know people who know nothing about our church yet still hate it, and I wish they would see truth. our church isn't perfect, but it is the one guided by Christ. also, if you look around, ours is the most diverse religion in the world:whites, hispanics, africans, asians-we have everyone!

  • Welcome home brother. Isn't nice to know that your search for truth is finally over and now you can take a deep sigh of relief. But in reality, it's the beginning of the truth in Christ Jesus and up ahead is a narrow path that leads to salvation. Once you know the truth it's hard to look the other way or try to ignore it.

You have sought and you have found!

The road ahead will be filled with obstacles but anchor yourself to Christs side and it will be easier to overcome.

    God love you!

  • Thank you, I usually include in my prayers at Mass (to which I have only recently returned after many years) for those Christians who are outside the the Church but deserve it so much more than I do - You seem to be exactly the sort of person for whom I am pray. Your turn to pray for me!

  • I will!

  • That last comment was for our dear hoggdawn :-)

  • Hoggdawn here---did I miss something? Is somebody being mean or nice? Please be nice to me inspite of my negative comments, because at some jucture we all have to get along, and in re-reading my vitriol I'm afraid I may have alienated my Catholic friends. Peace and kindness to all Catholics who honor their faith with obedience to Biblical teachings!

  • Erm, I think I was being a bit of both!.... are you testing your Catholic friends by being as provocative as possible? Since you come in peace, then peace be with you, too. I only say this: that any misgivings you have with the Catholic church cannot be answered in quick answers. (The media once commented Pope Benedict didn't give good enough "sound bites", his answers were so long!) You'll have to read a lot and be patient, like tizzidale. Once again, best wishes.

  • Whoa, I responded to the wrong note! Now I see you come in peace, too! Well, thank God. Let us be friends, and seriously entertain the thought that we might be next-door neighbors in heaven! God bless you! Love, Hoggdawn!

  • Sorry it appears I did call you boring, so forgive me. But a final note - many Catholics ARE sickened and scandalised by the pedophilia scandal too. But we pray and work towards reform and more strictness in our seminaries.

  • Tizzidale, may God continue to bless and enrich your family with His graces. Perservere in your faith, don't be discouraged!

  • Leave that stinking cesspool of perversion. Gosh, have you people been blind to the evil of the catholic church? The molesting priests and the bishops who cover for them?

  • Do your research, your twice as likely to be molested by a Protestant pastor, minister, etc. But for some reason the media likes to chew up the Church

  • Please name your sources. I don't doubt that problems occur in Protestantism, but I can say unequivocally that we don't have a heirarch that whitewashes their sins. We do, however, call the police---something which, apparently, never occured to the Catholic leadership. And please---don't blame the media for Catholic perversion. That is a cheap shot.

  • You can start at stopbaptistpredators dot org

    reformation dot com

    theawarenesscenter dot org for rabbis

I don't know about twice as likely but it's not just the Catholic Church. What I gave you is the tip of the iceberg, and yes, there are many sites for Catholic victims too. The Catholic Church is the largest Christian Church and is the most likely to be singled out because of that, but it happens everywhere in huge numbers.

  • As for cheap shots. You've taken a few yourself. The Police, deacons and others within protestant churches do indeed whitewash these incidents. Those sites I gave you have such incidents. So if you want to throw crap I brought my gloves.

  • The gathered live on EWTN, discussing prevalence of sexual abuse according to a study they conducted (not just child molestation) in the Church as well as in the general public and steps to correct that problem. I don't know what other churches have done.

  • I love your story. I've been catholic my whole life but going to high school in south carolina you get picked on for being catholic more than people pick on members of Jewdiasm or Islam

  • It is said, and quite rightly, that in America, anti-Catholicism is the last acceptable form of bigotry.

In other words, you cannot touch anyone else's sensitivity - especially muslims - but Catholics remain a good punching bag.

  • well said

  • haha good to know

  • Tizzidale, I thank and praise the Lord for bravely speaking out about the Church. To God be glory and praise forever, amen.

  • Amen.

    Glory be to GOD.

If only Anti-Catholic people opened their hearts and tried at least to truly understand why we catholics still believe in the church after hearing all the Myths, Hoaxes, Lies and Forgeries about the Catholic Faith.

  • Catholics are such hypocrites. They claim to be pro-life but would never consider denying the eucharist to abortionists and the political allies who enable them. Why? They love the money of, oh, say, the pro-abortion Kennedy clan. 'nuff said.

  • hahaha are you STILL here? go away, you're boring us with this ranting. Are you reading off some anti-Catholic checklist?

  • I have changed my ways. And, quite frankly, I resent being called boring. I have decided to embrace Catholics so we can all be friends. However, I would still ask the Catholic church to disavow pedophillia. Is that too much to ask? And please, please don't call me boring. For you see, I pride myself on being witty! You have cut me to the core, and I would appreciate an apology! Thank you. Love, Hoggdawn!

  • Simply wonderful! Thanks for sharing the love you have for our Lord and your appreciation of the grace of God in your life.

  • Absolutely beautiful video, i pray that there can be more like you who can see the fullness of truth through the one Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church!

  • Thanks for the positive comments.

  • just 4 sharing..pray always as if there's no more tomorrow..believe n have faith always..be good always but if u happened to do d opposite(we human is not always perfect)n realise it..quickly repent n ask forgiveness..dont judge others but love them sincerely..we r ONE in His eyes.Amen.

  • welcome home my friend.i was still very young when Jesus came 2 me in presence, talked 2 me..im 27 nw n still cant describe n forget the light around him..Praise b 2 the Lord..4 wherever i go,whatever i do..He's thr loving me..pray alwys and hv faith..whrver..watever situations even while u r sitting thr waiting 4 ur next bus, even when u r laying thr enjoying ur rest..pray n talk to Him about anyting.

  • OK! Where is your next video??? Got me sitting on the edge of my seat! ;)

  • Welcome to the church,my brother in Christ. Thanks for sharing the story of your personal journey home. May the peace of The Lord be with you.

  • As a Catholic, do you feel like you're missing out on the spiritual gifts listed in Corinthians? Is your new church somewhat-stoic, or is it open to those who tend to be emotive in their worship?

  • The Catholic Church is a very large tent which has room for different expressions of faith, among them 'charismatic' where people speak in tongues, sing and wave hands.

There are many Pentecostal preachers who have joined Catholicism, along with most of their congregation and they feel not only at home but 'completed' without the doctrinal confusion and lack of direction common in Protestant churches.

  • Check out the story of Alex Jones, minister and founder of his own Pentecostal church. His walk into the CC started when his parishioner, who loved Christ intensely, wanted to experience 'worship services' as the first Christians did.

Once Alex started examining history and practice by reading the Church Fathers, he found out the Church was Catholic in practice, rite and hierarchycal make up from the beginning.

  • I'm a Pentecostal, and I'm pretty sure that at my church we celebrate Communion (which I believe to be the same as the Eucharist) once a quarter.

What kind of Pentecostal Church did you attend? (Or was it simply "_______ Pentecostal Church"?) There is a whole spectrum of beliefs within churches that call themselves "Pentecostal."

  • I was raised first in the Oneness movement. Then the Assembly of God.

  • I'm not familiar with the Oneness movement, but I am currently (and always have been) a part of the Assemblies of God in Indiana.

I don't mean to pry, but what about my question below? Coming from my background, I couldn't imagine joining a church body that doesn't accept the spiritual gifts as both common and useful.

  • I was a bit despondent when I returned to the Catholic Church from over ten years as a Pentecostal/Charismatic. I knew it was the Church that Jesus founded but I was too experience oriented, too me oriented to find much value in the sacraments. Just my two cents.

  • Can there be a better 'experience oriented' Church than the one Christ founded? If that much you accept, then the Sacraments are the ultimate gift. Can there be anything more exalted than actually experiencing Christ within you after receiving Him in Communion?

The CC has 'charismatic' branches where you can have it all.

  • @tizzidale Beautiful testimony, just beautiful...thank you.

  • I'll pray that you will be able to break the good news to your anti-Catholic friends. (I got the same problem myself). Perhaps it will help them to open their eyes... Looking forward to the next video. Thanks for sharing!

  • It is truly amazing that ex-protestants such as yourself can come to the Catholic Church. As a "cradle Catholic" I'm impressed, and at the same time, put to shame by the depth of faith and knowledge you have. I salute you!

  • Is you wife still a Protestant?

  • Yes, she is.

  • Raised Pentecostal. Check. Worked as a youth pastor. Check. Passed out chick tracts. Check. Check. Started freaking out when reading Church history. Check. Considered the so-called Eastern Orthodox. Check. Went through RCIA. Was brought into the Church this past Easter Vigil. Check. Hmmm.... I was thinking about posting my experience, but you just stole my thunder! haha

  • I hear you about the eucharist being one of the main reasons. Same here.

  • Great Video-thanks for sharing.
