Yes just get yourself a wireless router and your PC and laptop will need wireless cards also, if they are not already built inl.

You dont need to have the CD to setup the router

You do not need the CD, if fact I could not get it to work. With this method, you do not need the CD.

can you connect the WAP54G to your ethernet port and use it to connect to other wireless connections, or do you need to put DDWRT on it to do that?

There is a big sticker on the "Access Point" and it reads "Wireless-G Access Point with SES: It also says this on the front and bottom. Just google it. You will also notice that you can read Access Point on the front when viewing the video.
