The end of this great country has already started. Why do you think the politicians show so little interest in governing. To hell with the national debt, it will never be repaid. I don't think China is concerned about it. Yes every location is different but when you see the rats in D.C. starting to run for cover by leaving the city it will be too late to prepare. So go back to your T.V. and watch some more Weiner crap. Collectively we are a nation of idiots.
@torrents4u2c -- I agree with what you say is happening to this country. I don't agree we will have generic, wide-spread Mad Max scenarios. As for watching TV and Weiner crap: Is that the newest contestant on Dancing With the Stars, or maybe the favorite on American Idol??? (Just joking, or trying to anyway!)
@torrents4u2c So Chinas not interested in getting there trillions of dollars buck huh? Interesting theory, it must be nice not living in reality, hows the weather this time of year?
So what is China going to do, come over here and take it back? When you see the rats in DC running for cover it will be too late. The rats are still there talking about raising the debt ceiling and what social program is going to be cut. As long as they are talking I feel relativly safe. The weather here is hot but it could become much hotter very quickly. Where are you going to go when it's too hot? What are you going to do? Fanasy is thinking you're going to heaven.
@torrents4u2c Not paying a debt obligation is lying, since taking out a debt in the first place goes with the promise to pay it back...with interest. So your conclusion is that I'm not going to heaven because i feel we have an obligation to keep our promise. I've never read your version of the Bible but liars and cheats don't get into heaven in mine.
I personally have always paid all my debt. Countries on the other hand are forgiven of debt regularly. After WWII the debts of the world were forgiven. The people in the U.S. did not cause these debts. The lying, stealing, corrupt, politicians did when they closed the factories and sent to them to countries with slave labor. They will leave this country when there is nothing left to steal. Why should hard working people be left holding the bag? When the rats start to run...
The US is painted with a brush already, Remember the LA riots. I remember the Koreans shooting who ever they wanted , and I never saw one prosecution either. I didn't see any law enforcement try to take their guns either! Koreans have the right idea on how to stop looters!
Nothing ever is going to happen. Why don't you go to Joplin Missouri, and ask them if they wished they had done a little prepping in advance. Take a trip to that Lousiana area and ask how good the government help was. Prep for your family don't depend on no one, but yourself.
@troybrownrigg I do believe in prepping. I don't believe in fear mongering which was what the video I'm speaking of was all about. Thanks for your comment.
I understand not wanting to promote videos you disagree with, but when you make what is basically a response video but don't let us see the video you're critiquing it really prevents us from forming our own opinions.
If we have a solar flare strong enough, it'll knock out our whole electical grid. THAT alone will put us back 100 years technologically. This woman has no idea what the hell she's talking about. God will help us.....He helps those who help themselves. If you do nothing and sit and wait for God to drop a bag of groceries at your door you're going to starve. Listen to this woman and you'll be caught with your pants down. It's better to be ready for nothing than not ready for catastrophy.
Good vid, good message. I've got my eyes, ears, and fingers into a lot of different places, and "The overall picture painted" is what the guy was talking about (didn't see his vid) - if things go bad they will go bad everywhere, but you're right different people/communities will weather the storm differently... and yes, there is no script to life, so we really don't know whats going to pop up next good OR bad... so just focus on living the best life you can.
Good video, I think that when people wake up to the massive economic & political fraud going on, they will live in a state of fear until they gain more knowledge. You're right in the sense that each region will experience the Great Collapse in different ways. I'm not worried like I used to be. Being economically & politically aware allows us to make better decisions for the future, but we don't have to live in the box that's been designed for us.
I'm certain I know who your referring to. I saw that video. I only watched it because it was favorited by someone I respect. I watched as much of it as I could and then shut it off. He may have some good information but he has a filthy mouth and that's what I objected most about his video. He's video was dark and not particularly helpful...I just don't think I need what he's putting out.
Here I am under 52 comments. I'm not too excited about doom. I feel whatever our government has in store for us will happen before the end of October. After that who knows. I wish they'd stop scaring us to justify control over us.
@TOSHARMY -- I can't watch that show -- the fact the participants know they're on a TV show with the film crew always around and their ordeal only make-believe for X-amount of time makes it not work for me. Now, if you could somehow not let on to the participants it's all a TV show. . . . ; )
If the shtf the usa will be worse than the riots in europe. You won't just being dealing with hungry neighbors you'll be facing organised gangs drug dealers strung out junkies etc all kinds of ruthless criminals they'll be after your food water drugs and who knows what else and your life will be meaningless. To think it would be different is nieve.
@ArboriusOwns -- Granted, think that kind of situation will definitely be faced by some who live in and near large urban centers. However, to think this scenario will happen EVERYWHERE in the US isn't realistic IMHO and is playing heavily into the realm of drama.
@btigtime2 -- Yup, when the food stamps get cut (and didn't they just do that to help fund Mrs. Obama's child health campaign???), you WILL see riots in the street in some cities. No doubt about that.
Even if something bad really happens, it does not hurt & in fact benefits to learn & hone skills that our grandparents or great grandparents knew but have all but died out due to modernization, etc. We have lived life depending on big agriculture & grocery stores, then fast food/restaurants until our young people do not even know where their food comes from except from a drive up window or a box. It's time to go back to basics & I commend you & others for demonstrating self sustainability.
@kokonutbaby1 -- Thank you and I agree, no matter what working towards a more self-sufficient lifestyle will never be a bad investment or waste of time.
No, none of us has a crystal ball and none of us can say what the future will bring. However, to avoid dealing with the real possibilities of economic upheaval is akin to putting our heads in the sand. Almost 41 million Americans are on food stamps. As a nation, we are trillions of dollars in debt, with nothing but more of the same for the foreseeable future. About 2 weeks ago the CBO issued a warning that we are headed for trouble. Don't let it rule your life, but be prudent and prepare.
@udder777 -- I had no idea who he was, only found the video on the suggestion of someone I subscribe to (and really like). I was quite taken aback . . .

Wow! lucky you! I'd love to have a manure spreader. Best I can do is a wheelbarrow and a shovel... but hey - its good exercise.
I hate hystrionics and fear-mongering - there really is way too much of that going around. You are so right about the diverse areas in this huge country being affected in different ways. I've always figured that you just need to realistically look at your surroundings and its population , and logically prepare accordingly.
However very recently there was a large amount of helicopter activity in the area, and word that several of the back roads through BLM country had been cordoned off by sheriff. I haven't confirmed it through enough sources as yet, but it is said there was some mexican drug cartel activity in the mountains nearby - extensive remote mj fields were found, and the guard fired on the sheriff, and was subsequently killed. Others fled the scene. So gangs now worry me a bit.
@hunt1803 wow ! that is a bit disconcerting!do you carry a pistol while your working the farm? maybe santa will bring you a poo slinger for christmas.
@bctruck I don't regularly carry unless cougar warnings have been posted, or if I've lost some chickens to varmints. There is a nice shooting range in the back of the property, regularly used by the neighbors and I, so maybe that noise is enough to encourage strangers to keep their distance.
Hmmm, maybe I will send a letter to the North Pole asking for a poo slinger....
@hunt1803 -- You just need to find a romantic like my husband, then you get one for Valentines Day. (This is actually my 2nd one -- I wore the first one out after 17 years of use. The original was the Valentine's Day surprise. )
@hunt1803 -- All the attention is on the Mexican border due to both the drug cartels and because of the amount Mexicans coming over illegally. But, regarding the drug trafficking, I think there's a fair amount coming in from the North too.
Good video. I do believe things aren't looking so great for us....but we must not lose faith and we must call upon God to get us through.
In Luke 21:36, Jesus tells us to, "Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man."
I don't think I have ever commented on your videos except to say Thank you for a recipe or a canning vid. I like to look at history for direction into the future. You can't really prep without it. Prepare for the worst hope for the best. There was a time I thought all "preppers" were a little nuts. Not so much anymore. I hope the day never comes that I think some of these guys, that are "out there" with their predictions, are the ones that are right. Some people use fear and some people need fear to be convinced. I have been trying to get family members to start preparing after I saw what happened in Katrina and Haiti. Some are receptive some are skeptics.
@KainanRa -- I think that's the situation most of us (preppers) find ourselves in. My three siblings think I'm the wierd, "eccentric" one. My husband's family is a bit more on-board. For those family members you can't convince, you can only pray and prep for.
IMO I dont think their will be total lawlessness everywhere, I do think the cities will be BAD. Most other communities will form their own militias to guard their families, but the cities that is another story.
@NWOIS666 -- In my mind, it all depends on what happens and how fast. The worst case scenario where I think widespread chaos may take hold is in the case of an EMP that takes out our ancient transformers and communications.
The fear mongers never talk about the events that lead up to Mad Max. They only make wild statements. I'm not too happy with the store food and get a gun approach either. Just because you own a gun doesn't mean someone can't shoot you in the back, then steal your supplies. So that will not work.
What is needed is the development of a cooperative community where knowlege is shared. Where people can net work with others nearby. I see very little of that from the fear mongers.
@looseal22 Very well said. If everyone thinks its "everyone for themselves" - we are totally doomed. We will need to think collectively - cooperatively to help each other get through whatever is coming and work as a community. If everyone doesn't freak out- we can get through this...together.
@looseal22 -- Ding! Ding! Ding! Absolutely agree there -- community is key. I'm all for the "extended pantry" and firearms approach, but if your neighbors aren't doing this as well, well. . . you better store a LOT of extra food and seeds because you'll never store enough bullets and frankly, shooting one's babysitter and family, etc. has NO appeal to me. . . . How many bullets before the devil purchases your soul with them?
Yep, I agree, I also saw that video and I don't think that nationwide it will ever get that bad. I however do feel that as you stated it could in certain pockets be that bad, but even in that country where the video was shot it all is not that way, there are some places there which life is going on relatively normally for that part of the world. Thumbs up on the BS meter.
Yep, I know the video you're talkin' about, pretty grim outlook on his part. I really like your paint brush analogy. And by the way is that some sort of poo contraption you're pulling behind that 4wheeler?
@okieprepper - I got the impression from the manical laughter, that some part of this fellow is actually looking forward to his assessment coming true, if for no other reason, but to be "right". Ewww. And yes, it's a poo contraption behind me. LOL -- ground driven manure spreader -- best Valentine's Day present I ever got.
@thewizardking13 -- Ha ha yeah, you're right. But I decided to make the video as I was emptying it and stewing on that video. . . . I do my best thinking either when knee deep in poo or flinging it. : )
