Great to see the swing bridge again I was born in Stockton Heath. My brother and I had a ride on that very bridge when I was about five years old thats 57 years ago (Now in Devon). Great memories of the canal in its hey day. Thanks allot.

20 years ago i used to stay on the bridge whilst in turned. But you're right - not anymore.

Originally I think they were powered by steam, but nowadays I'm not sure.
