@eveliocinema I think you do not understand what tests are for. If you had read and understand what I had written as a comentary with the clip you would not have said this. The 700 is basically a good camera but already a bit older. Test are sometimes about extremes, these are extreme contrast shots that the camera did not handle very well. Sorry it is what it is. I am just being honnest and I have no intension to "destroy" the camera. I have shot with the 110 ( HDV) it's predecessor for years.
@simon1234simon I only tested this camera never owned one. If I would buy a camera today I would choose Canon XF 300 this camerta has a non 18 zoom Canon zoom lens of extreme quality. Or DSLR with a host of lens options. Personally I rent the camera that suits the job best. So it depends on the job you do.
Can someone help me? Where I can get a RAW video from this JVC-HM700 camcorder on Low Light Situation? I will purchase a HD camcorder and the fight is between HPX-300 & HMC700.
Go with the 700. It comes with CCD chips instead of the MOS guys. The new chips still have some bugs (in my opinion). However, the HPX-300 seems like a solid ENG cam; but I've done most of my research on the 700 so take this as a quick opinion and not a definitive answer.
Thanks, beside the HPX-300 it to expensive, I mean the P2 card the price is ridiculos. I use Final Cut and that thing that record in mov. is great. Thatks again.
OK. Cameras are for pictures, right? Camcorders are for videos, right? But what the hell the Canon 7D DSLR make HD videos betters that any Camcorder of HD around 6k to 8k and it only cost $2,129. And as a Videographer a need to pay 6K to 8k for a HD camcorder and it get worst, those camcorder are 1/3 CCD chip, the worst thing in low light situation. Check this video "Canon 7D movie - Another night in Beijing" This is proof that SONY,JVC & Panasonic only whant to F... Y.. until they can't no more.
I'm very interested in this camera. The problems related to HD streaming seem to be being addressed now. I tend to upload HD footage in MPEG-2 format now at 720p, which YouTube seems to like. In fact YouTube suggest MPEG-2 or MPEG-4 files for uploads. Of course YouTube is always tweaking the player, so things will obviously improve in the future.
sorry poederbach, i was wrong

Don't worry, this was the worst situation I could place the camera and the footage shot in. I shot three prodc=uctions they are all fine.
Maybe concider a DSLR when buying a camera and picture quality for relatively little money can be obtained.
